Should we eat your lunch for you too? No offense, but I think you'll find your meals all the more satisfying if you learn to chew it for yourself. Considering that Tibet (both pro or con vis a vis PRC) is in the news just about every day, it really isn't all that hard. Pick up a newspaper or two.-rolleyes

yup. that's in a nutshell. and the recent issue is that China have been beating those monks and suppressing their right to demonstrate.

Well, it is EXACTLY the perfect timing to air the dirty laundry for China. I mean, it's open secret that China is oppressive in policy (and practice), the Western world turned a blind eye to it conveniently because they relies on China's cheap labour to keep their profit margin.

And now, the whole world wide protest is going to drag China's reputation through the dirt, and to be frank? I figure it's just dessert, then again, it's a huge vicious cycle that does nothing constructive (oppressive government -> stupid people -> justifies more oppressive and iron-fist policing)

I personally think it wouldn't change anything, all these protest and whatnot, but I do sit back and wait to see China fall from its "booming prosperity" (because it's imminent, not unlike the US and Canada, only worst due to government with even less transparency).
