Arghhhhhhhhhh I HATE HAYFEVER..... i forgot why i hated the summer because i was in hk last year, but ive just recently remembered. HAYFEVER!!! i was sitting in class today sniffing and my eyes were so droopy and itchy :(... well i guess it was because i had little sleep too... i came home and fell asleep like 4 times lol..

    symptoms of hayfever:
    • feeling drowsy
    • itchy/runny nose
    • itchy/red eyes
    • itchy/sore throat
    • itchy ears
    • feeling like shxt!

apparently its not that common amongst chinese people...... but i'm one of the unlucky few ::):):):):)(
i rmb i was prescribed some medication for it, but im away from home now.. does anyone use anything for it from lucky pharmacists like Boots??

    HATE ITTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -censored:rl:-dead

luckily i don't have hayfever. but i would expect it to be worse here than in HK as there is a lot more plants/flowers in the UK than in HK.

yep its that time of the year..... my noise is going crazy itchy....

personally i wouldnt buy anything from boots or the pharmacy cause its a rip off. its like £5 for a pack of 10 tablets

instead go to your GP, get him/her to give you tablets, eye drops and nasal spray. prescription is only like £6

but since your away from home.... i guess its just pot luck what may work for you

yea boots like to make a profit on useful items such as these. just like the morning after pill i believe is £25 in boots but much cheaper at pharmicies.

  11. pills and tablets have TERRIBLE TERRIBLE possible side effects.

I use mind over matter and stopped rubbing my eyes when i was younger, the itchy eyes went away and i started getting runny nose instead or maybe sneezing sometimes >.<

not to bad for me now, back in the days i used to rub my eyes so badly, surprised i still got em.

hey i've just been on the web to search for tsome cures :b

    here's one i came across:

"I used to have hay fever very badly and each summer was a misery with itchy eyes and runny nose. I also had a complex about flowers and shrubs - disliking them because of their effect on me. Medications would partly work but only for one year so each time it was a case of trial and error to get relief. Then, and this was after becoming interested in Buddhism, I decided to do something about it. If plants are living beings, it is unhelpful to regard them as enemies... So I simply asked all flowers and shrubs to be my friends and invited the pollen of all grasses, flowers and trees to come into my life - NOT ALL AT ONCE - and told my immune system they were friends and not to be treated like invaders. This has worked pretty well for 4 years now - repeating the above paragraph - in a light meditative state - rather like self hypnosis, I suppose. There have been the occasional exceptions, when I visit a garden or park filled with unfamiliar flowers on a day of high pollen count. This quickly subsides and I am then fine again within a couple of hours. Don't know if it will help anyone else, but it is worth trying. Love and Blessings Joy (JoyB)"

maybe some of you may wana try this lol

    --------------------------------------------

on a serious notes, these are a few suggestions:

    The nutritional approach:

Nutritionists take the approach that hay fever is an indication that the immune system is not working properly and that the digestive system is failing to absorb nutrients effectively. Nutritional suggestions that can make quite a difference include:

    1. Cut out caffeine, refined sugar and if you can manage, dairy products from your diet for one month.

    2. Some hay fever sufferers have also benefited from cutting back on wheat products.

    3. Step up your intake of calcium rich foods such as dark green leafy vegetables, live organic yoghurt and soy milk.

    4. Add extra garlic to your food or take a daily garlic capsule.

    5. Vitamin C has antihistamine properties, so increase your intake to at least 500-1000mg per day.

    6. Eating one teaspoonful of honey a day, before the hay fever season starts, is effective in reducing those unpleasant symptoms.
