If you are going to jailbreak your iPod, you have to know that you will not have warranty anymore -smart

  8. ^ and also with every update... it will relock hahaha and then you gotta do your homework again to find the right unlocking tool or you may brick the phone!!

or just don't update the ipod touch, simple as. besides the ipods don't often get many updates anyway and btw if u do jailbreak it u still ain't gonna be able to put ps3 games. u will only be able to put simple games.

ye but if u jailbreak it properly and ur ipod touch starts becoming dodgy, just restore the software and then if it then breaks, ur warranty will then still be in tact. but there's not rele that much point in jailbreaking an ipod touch cos apple have opened up to developers haven't they?

Jailbreaking voids the warranty permanently. iLounge has discussed this issue at length. Jailbreaking an iPhone with Ziphone permanently changes the bootloader. The Touch is not affected is this easily detectable way, but I was informed that once a jailbreaker programs runs it does leave a permanent imprint, even after a full restore and what not. The thing is most apple store techs don't actually perform the check when these jailbroken touches have needed warranty service.
