I'm going Hong Kong next week and I was wondering where the good places are to eat, go shopping for clothes, gadgets, attractions, good salon to get hair straightened, etc I haven't been back for 11 years so I don't know what everything is like now and I kind of only just booked the ticket so haven't made any plans yet as to where to go and where to buy things from. How hot would it be at the moment?

In HK, there are lots of things to eat, so it depends on what you want to eat and how much dough you have in your pocket. But be warned, if you are not a local, don't eat everything that is there. You can easily get a stomach ache. To be on the safe side, don't eat from "street shops" If you like Sushi, in Hunghom is a street with all types of sushi. You can ask a taxi to drive you there, it's near Bailey street. There are lots of shoppingmalls in HK, where you can shop during the hot day. Samples of shoppingmalls are: - Pacific Place - Ocean Plaza - Time Square - Sogo - New shoppingmall at Kowloon MTR For gadgets you can go to Mongkok, Wanchai Computer Center, Sham Sui Po Golden Computer Center. etc Attractions: - Ocean Park - HK Disneyland FYI, it is much cheaper to buy tickets at China Travel Service. http://www.ctshk.com/english/admission-tickets/ocean-park/ocean-park.htm 11yrs not in HK. When you are in HK, it is useful to buy an Octopus card at the MTR station. Once recharged, you can pay for public transport, Seven-Eleven, etc. At the moment it is 25 - 29 degrees celsius.
