Any ideas? I've tried googling but have no luck.
I wanna watch it on stand alone DVD players.

Do I have to change the .mkv to another file b4 burning?

    Thanks

yes you have to change it into .vob format or something like that... you can do it using WinAVI converters.

ye u have to convert it into DVD format which is .vob but rele its just mpeg 4 but to convert it to that u need a converting program such as winavi to convert the file. then u just burn the folder that winavi creates onto a dvd disk and u can then watch it.

I've tried that. For the .vob there's the VIDEO_TS folder and AUDIO_TS folder both under DVD_01_1.
The audio folder is empty and the video folder has the data.

So if I burn, do I burn the whole DVD folder that holds VIDEO + AUDIO ? But why is nothing in the AUDIO folder?

    Thanks.

I tried burning the folder which was DVD_01_01 which held both AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_ITS but when I tested it on my computer, the video would work but audio was really laggy and the timing seemed wrong.

    Was it converted incorrectly?
This DVD was not read by my DVD players.

well u should test out the conversion first before burning to cd, thats what i do. to test it out u open the folder video i think using powerdvd to test out the sound. if it works fine then it should then burn fine and btw u burn wats in the folder not the DVD_01_01 folder so basically u have 2 folders when opening the dvd, one called the video and one the audio.

Yeah. I'm testing them, but some reason it just can't seem to do the audio well.

I notice the option to BURN THE DVD in WINAVI doesn't allow me to select individual files. So when I do select DVD_01_01 the AUD/VID TS folders are in there. Thing is it's not working.

So now, I'm testing all the .vob b4 I'm burning but the audio lag is giving problems.

don't use winavi to burn the files and thats weird if ur winavi is creating weird audio. try reinstalling the codecs and see if it works any better then.

lol DVDFab is just easy to use... and i just record DVD using that program also.. i only use nero for burning music mainly.. for dvds stuff... i would use DVDFab since it can compress it into smaller to fit on one DVD... like when i convert 10 ep of TVB into 1 DVD... it takes about 8gb.. DVDFab will shrink it and fit it into 1 DVD... :)

hi anyone know if i convert a video (mp4 to Divx) and i keep the same bitrate , fps or width/hight from the mp4 format.. can that change the video and audio quality after the convertion?? please help me anyone??

usually when u convert a video from one format to another, if u don't change the options specifically u can get it to the same bitrate and everything else but the quality does decrease ever so slightly during the conversion. not much though and in most cases u don't see it unless u convert it several times or if the original video isn't of a very gd quality.

Hi bbes! please help me!! i have Prism (a video converter) .. i wanna convert a mp4 format to Divx but that program doesnt have it so i'm thinking about avi, wmv, or mpg i just dont know which one is better for a dvd because i wanna burn it and not watch it in the pc. so which format do u think is better?

well if u get winavi video converter, u can convert it straight to dvd format i believe. rather than using this method cos everytime u convert the quality depreciates ever so slightly. even though its not much its still not worth it to convert it twice cos its just time consuming.
