i don't forsee them bringing back the supra now that they have released the IS-F, though i've heard rumors that they were thinking about bringing it back. the supra of yester years was the competitor to the gt-r and NSX, and since the GT-R is making a comeback anything is possible...
corollas haven't been rwd for 20yrs... and they stopped being even remotely decent since the ae101... last gen's 2zz's were ok... but nothing near Honda capable in terms of a tuner market... no one forgot the 2jz... the azz ran on 2jz as well and are a good platform for a swap...
i dont like supras and soarers lol they both way too large not sure about weight but they look heavy asssssss
he said corollas were the exception.. meaning they're good tuner cars ? i thought he meant the rwd ones haha it doesnt matter if u like them or not... they're good "tuner" cars cause from what i hear the supra's 2jz-gte can produce over 1000 hp stock... the 1jz-gte can handle lots of pressure too
yupyup im goin with an altima sedan~~ has decent power, alright sound and looks great =) not to mention its pretty cheap~~ like $25500 for 2.5s with CVT.. fuel efficient too XD and some key thing where u push a button and it starts the engine =D its cool haha
^ lol....so r u gonna drive from like calgary to loo? since ur parents live in calgary and u're in skool at loo or u're just leaving the car at loo
CIVIC SI [coupe or sedan] good on gas, and light good suspension/cornering abilities nice engine sound good trunkspace, back seats, ergonomics, speakers hotlooking high potential for performance upgrades cheap parts for modding/upgrade popular so therefore easier for support and seeking help on forums but, lacking torque on lower revs you will love this car and spend money lots of money to mod it
hmm im not sure how it works... they said they could buy the car in calgary, but have it picked up in toronto because they paid the "freight" cost... i told them thats not how it works but im not 100% sure... anywys if i need to ship it itll be like $800 i guess.. not sure whats going to happen next year though... i might just stay in toronto with a friend. of course waht id prefer is if they got it now and let me drive it until school starts and then have it shipped over~~ haha unlikely to happen but i guess i can dream right? =)
foreals?? buy in calgary and pick it up in Toronto?? wow i dont think i know any1 that did that b4 lol......and u can try to pressure the dealer saying that u'll buy that car if u get it asap well at least within 1 month...yo man u got a job? lol hook me up with something o ya..u should edit ur first post saying u made a decision already or else ppl will rite in here and make u change ur mind lol
A stock Supra MKIV scores around 164 kW on the fly being a twin turbo .... A stock dc5r can score 146kW on the fly and its an NA car and its heaps lighter than ur supra.... And 1000horsepower is a shitload of kW's...and assuming it can reach 1k hp IT WONT BE STOCK...otherwise being only a 3L twin turbo FR itll be as fast as the Veyron Bugatti which is a W16 QUAD turbo MR car..... i higly doubt that even if it is tuned it can reach 1k hp And the corolla is a good tuning car mainly cause its strong body stucture, abd with a cage inside = nice control =] and also engine swap with the 3S-GTE will give u a nice fast car cept getting it in will require alot of changes and prolly a hassle to get it into the engine bay! Forgot to add the Ralliart COLT is a nice small car too!!!
what are u smokin? a stock TT MKIV Supra scoring 220HP?... the thing roars at 320HP(239kw)... the DC5R can in no way... touch a TT MKIV Supra... the 2jz is a near bulletproof engine... the thing will handle boost up the ying yang and 1.1khp is very capable on stock internals... and if ur gonna swap in a 3S-GTE into a corolla... why not just buy a celica? why even waste the effort and money on something that wasn't meant to be even remotely a performance vehicle? especially since the engine isn't an easy drop in like you pointed out... toyota is not honda... engine swaps are a pain...
cant drive manual >< i knw i should learn... but dunno where... haha im lookin for a job right now too.. need to find one before those high school kids get off for summer haha
I learned manual in euh.... 2 classes. I've been driving manual every since, and Montreal isn't exactly flat.
dunno why everyone doesnt just learn manual to begin with as logic dictates if you can drive manual you can drive auto but not the other way round
lol that's hard to do... i always try to kick the clutch on my parents' autos... and i'm like... wtf!?!?... ooooooo auto... nice....
i know i know i should learn manual and everyone says its easy but.. i dont have anyhwere to learn.... anyways.. isnt cvt better than manual? because with manual ull hit the peak power output of the engine once per gear, but with cvt the engine is constantly in the max power zone...
yeh CVT will just be one continuous gear change but as i have never driven one, i will have no idea how much better it really is in terms of control. sequential double clutch gear boxes are the way to go
