the reason he did not want to join bucks in the first place is because he knows it will be difficult for him with villanueva and bogut there. if given the chance, and put on some weight, he can be better than Yao.

yi is an intriguin prospects...hes got the tools to be a real good player in this league...can become like dirk/garnett....with a damn good jump shot and atheletic abilities....he looks confident now which shows alot...at such a young age....time will tell...but hes definitly one of the best prospects in the league today

he needs to bulk up...he's too skinny. The competition is much better in the NBA than in China where he's a big fish in a small pond.

i don't think he skinny, i think he got really good shape for nba, long and lean. this kind of body will block alot of shot and do crazy highlight stuff. he just need to improve his shooting skill and post up move.

yi is overrated. he's sucking up charlie villanueva's minutes causing the bucks to lose.

Yi just needs to play more and take more shots. The slump from mid-January really hurts him.

in my opinion, i think that jian lian is going to hav 1-3 decent seasons, but at the end, he wont live up to the hype (better than yao?... never gonna happen)

hmm i just watched a documentary of yao ming called year of the yao or something like that

Yi Jian Lian compared to Yao as a rookie, Yi is actually better, Yao wasnt exactly great until he was toward the end of his first rookie season or 2nd year...

I feel that Yi has a chance of being better than Yao, well we'll see they do play two different positions, one center and one forward

if only they are on the same team O_O, thatll be great
