ATT(US) has UMTS 850/1900, TMobile has 1700/2100 both networks share sats, so it'd be hard not to actually catch 3G... u'd have to move to Montana and live in the mountains...(yes I know iphone is 850/1900 only) Edge+Voice in the US under ATT's contract is $50 cheapest point... cheapest data only option is $20 from TMobile and ATT... I still dont' understand exactly what TZone is, which is $6 and i would guess is running edge =/
go google T-zone Aoes... lol.. tzone is a internet service for tmobile phones mainly.. that supports it.. but people figured out a way to hack it.. for iphones so iphone gets the service for $6 using tzone instead of ATT $20 service.
The 3G iPhone is still not a perfect 10 for me. It is missing: - Video conference call function - Video recording function - MMS - Bluetooth Stereo Profile - Voice Operation - But it is way better than the current one.
2 yr contracts are bogus! sucks...... i just read that they lower the price to reach their goal of selling over 10 million iphones by 2009
tmobile may actually have the spectrum but they do not have any of the 3G infrastructure inplace. T-mobile is way behind on the 3G curve, and its going to be another year to 2 before the can implement 3G into their network t-zone is their cheap internet connectivity for phones that just want to grab some ring tones and news. The other package is for PDA phones that want their corporate email pumped to them.
i don't believe that for one bit...they have been saying 3G for years. And even if they say release in august its goin to be for chicago, new york and san francisco or something...not even to the rest of the country
