arg one thing i hate about 1.6 is when you get shot you cant run, you get stuck as the bullets hit you, the single most annoying feature known to FPS... that and 11 year olds shouting down the mic -lol

I think you need to download the dedicated server thing if you wana run one from home, however never tried that and dunno how well a pc would cope and how many slots you could have

otherwise it will be cost you money to buy a server

try to find an empty public server? or if you know anyone with a private clan server?

no there is no key required.

you download steam, make an account and you purchase cs through steam. it's going to download cs through steam. if you want cs on another computer, you download steam, and you download your games on the new computer.

A way u guys could host a server is just simply have all players download a program called hamachi, and then have one player host the server by simply using the new server button in game. I haven't tried this with cs yet but I'm pretty sure it would work. The person that hosts should probably know the commands like teambalance, maxrounds, etc.
