but now it WILL be harder to accidently come across old friends, like looking up people from the same year as you in middle school
i don't see why they are removing networks. its odd cos i thought thats what made it successful as it allowed ppl to find each other in the first place, without networks finding another friend is also a lot harder as there are many results for one name usually and u can't narrow it down if there isn't any networks.
tsk tsk they're acting dumb. did they even give a good reason? i mean, networks are especially good for college students. like in the summer new college students could get to know each other in that network, then find groups and so on.
thinking about this again, they sed that the current networks which ur in will stay so thats fine then i guess cos im pretty much in most networks that i would be in anyway so it doesn't actually seem to affect me much. also i don't actually see facebook saying this on their website so i question the truth in this statement.

a network is basically the group kind of thing that ur under, for example usually it is the name of ur school that ur at and thats a network. this basically allows u to then look at everybody's profile in the network without having to add them as a friend first to see their profile. this then allows u to tell whether u know this person or not so that u can then add them as a friend if u know them. thats basically what a network is and the function of it.
^ u can't just see any1 in ur network....ppl can still hide who can view their profiles...too many stalkers lol..FO SHO
Well, most people don't even know how to change their privacy settings so I'm confident in saying you can see almost everyone in your network.
i still think it's better than those Myspaces we used to have a social history or sth, i spent so much time on it!! then they deleted it ><
adding to this a network is how you use to get on facebook facebook use to only be for college students, than they expanded that to include high schools where you could only get on if you belong to a REAL college, and they do that by checking your college issued email. This way a network was more viable of a source of truth of if your really from that section unlike a group that any one can get into without credentials like anyone can sign up for the PA group, but we dont know if they were are a PA person anyways i'm been hunting up and down the facebook website for an explaination and there isn't one.
