in game xmb pretty cool but my most hopeful feature, the custom soundtracks not as robust as the xbox ( the xbox has the features implemented in their game), still question if you can for example use the music for a theme song of a wrestler in the smackdown games and such. but anyways pretty cool stuff that's coming in a while.

  2. damn.. info vid already.. can't wait for them to release it.. but i dont think will be for another 2 weeks? E3 time?

lol watch it gets delayed to come out the same time as "home," but yea waiting for this stuff since i got my ps3. things just get better and better now.

  4. i dunno.. gamespot have home dated 12/31.. still awhile...

2.40.. I hope they release an update with MGS4 to make use of the custom music for ipod..

^that would be sick...for a while lol but yea i really hope the do implement the custom soundtracks feature in-game instead of totally dependent on the xmb, but by using the in-game xmb that means it won't really limit what games can use the feature. but anyways won't know to the extent of how good this feature will work out until it's actually released, hopefully it's sooner than later lol.

  6. sweet.. soon than E3... good thing I didn't update 2.3 whatever..

nope why would sony allow for that to happen. but i do wonder if someone is gonna make a custom firmware like they did with the psp which will allow the ps3 to play games from the hdd.

    lol. nope

lol but that also means you will need a big ass harddrive. newer games would probably go the metal gear route and use uncompressed audio and shit and take the whole 50gb disc. just imagine a 50 gb install, that harddrive gonna go out fast (assuming you've upgraded.

but anyways, one more day and we gonna try out the features. damn hopefully sony pull off the same surprised for playstation home, like just announce the features and give it to us two days after lol.

well i'm sure ppl will find a way to compress them down sooner or later if its just the music and movies taking so much space.

lol upgraded yesterday and it's kinda bland and barebones now, no games will work with the anticipated features. only the in game xmb works. that is until there are patches that will come who knows when.

EDIT: oh shit guys dunno if true or not but i heard sony took off the firmware for the moment as it has "bricked" some ps3s. watch out. back up your data.

^looks cool but read on some places...this is looking to become "Death 2.40" for the PS3. hopefully it doesn't happen to me, don't wanna have to reformat my drive and download everything again.

  17. oh shit.. wait on it.. if you downloaded already...
