Hi everybody! I'm going to backpack cross Oz this autumn for a whole year. Any tips for good stops? Thx!
Then you should introduce yourself at the Melbourne intro thread lol Thats what I meant lol Depends on which part of OZ you're going to and which state or city. If you're looking for a nice peaceful and quiet relaxing place, you can try Tasmania, pretty much trees, hills, beaches, near empty town and one over crowded city, Hobart and pretty crowded port...Hiring car is needed to travel around there... Melbourne...try asking metzo or marcopolo for this...asking phil will lead you to his place...jks lol Sydney....ummm...even though I live there, I pretty much find the good thing here is just eating...ask cheeks for better things, she seem to notice more things in Sydney than me lol Gold Coast, Queensland, a huge beach, amusement rides called Sea World and another tourist attraction called WB Movie World, something similar to Disneyland I thnik....never been there myself... Thats all I know about the fun stuff in Australia, there is also the Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia, which I have know nothing much about them, except there's a huge desert that connects them...
For a whole year? There's tons of stuff to do Umm, Autumn in Sweden, Does that mean Spring here? Avoid the North or the Outback during Summer here, Unless you wish to die of extreme exhaustion and heat.. Sydney-Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Chinatown, Centrepoint tower, all those touristy attractions The rest of NSW-The outback has got some pretty interesting stuff, mining, dug-outs-But you'll want to avoid going here in Summer cause I just went earlier this year and it was bloody hot Queensland-Surfers Paradise, the theme parks, then there's the Great Barrier Reef, The daintree rainforest and that area in Cairns-Winter would be a better time to go I would think.. Northern Territory-Only thing that I can think of is Kakadu National Park and Uluru? (is that NT or SA?) Victoria-No idea, Only been to Mildurra and some big national park with "The Great Wal of China" South Australia-I found there wasn't much to do in Adelaide.. Visit China Town, Pitt Street Mall (There's nothing that special about it.. you can find these shops in any capital city) I'd say visiting Kangaroo Island is a MUST-It's awesome Tassie-It's a great quiet place, lots of beautiful scenery-mountains, waterfalls Western Australia-No idea, never been there. And there's Canberra.. nothing much to do there unless you want to visit parliament house and various museums, It's an alright stop if you want to go to the NSW/Victorian alps for a bit of skiing in WInter/Bushwalking in Summer
Uluru is in NT, just next to Alice Springs. NSW - you need to visit "The Entrance," just north of Sydney, it's a really nice coastal region
lol the Pope is gunna brainwash everyone to Create his own Kingdom, the World of Dark Side Welcome to the dark side and i hope you be comfortable because theres no way out -devil !
