oic, i don't have that problem really..i only get a annoyed with the stylus, cos you have too press more accurately unlike the iPhone..same like you my early version were always HTC with the sliding keyboard..cos i use it very often for typing SMS/Word/notes/replying mails/posting@PA =P and it has all tons of applications..just a all-in-one package my latest one was with GPS a.o. i think bout the keyboard, its just bout the using, make it your own almost..i was in beginning not use to it also..cos I'm an HTC fanatics =P esp keyboard..now I'm quite fund of the iPhone keyboard..but thats my opinion ^^ and bout the sensitivity..it really is awesome when your calling someone..the iPhone screen will automatically turns black/closing when your holding it behind your ears..somekind of sensor? so that you wont by accident touch something during phone call..and when your holding it away from you (during phone call) it will appear/lights on..so that you can touch or take notes or something..this is really a PLUS..a HTC cant compare with this function -worship i know theyve 32&64GB for a iPhone and also the 2nd Generation..i'll will get that also..by the time they are out here -LOL the 8GB iPhone didnt cost me any penny unlike all my earlier HTC's (3x, the latest one i bought was here for € 630 EUR = £ 500 GBP = $ 969 USD)..gonna grab a 16GB within a couple days also..if im lucky also for 0 EUR, only gonna be stick for awhile with a 2 years mobile ms..thats cos my mobile ms gonna expire within 1,5 months and yep i got 2 mobile ms..i call a lot -blush2
To bring this thread back......: my friend bought this phone and i have briefly tested it out there is a slight lag in everything you do, writing is pretty cool, the apps that can be installed are also a plus, the sound quality is pretty much the same maybe a bit better than normal, have not tried video calling with the phone as of yet, the camera took very nice photos, all in all i expected the experience to be a lot better..... but as of now (since i have not used it any further than that) my first impression of it would be 7/10
possibly but again i will have to re-evaluate it with another test later on.... last i checked he was installing the Garmin GPS application so within the next month i will ask to play with it again
man, i need some info on the HTC TOUCH PRO.... but google fails =( to my understanding, there will be a gsm version, and a cdma version... gsm mode is quad band, but what about cdma? supports 850/1900 or no? any rumors on when it might be released for what price?
Quad it will be. It will probably make cdma (850) just like how the Tytn went with the version on Telus.
bummer. having a gsm for personal, and cdma for work just sucks. they should make all phones dual modes.
Network HSDPA/WCDMA: * Europe/Asia: 900/2100 MHz * Up to 384 kbps up-link and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds Tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: *Europe/Asia: 900/1800/1900 MHz
I think it's possibly both. Newer smartphones nowadays have a dual mode capability for travel purposes... like the BB 8830 World edition... which is good, considering both Bell and Telus need new and better phones. Too bad this phone is going for Telus, because, I can't speak for Telus, but Bell's only dual mode phone is the BB 8830, and needs to update it's phone fleet.
