The Dark Knight lithely scaled another difficult hurdle at the box office this weekend, easily becoming the first movie in history to earn $300 million in 10 days. The Warner Bros. movie took in an estimated $75.6 million domestically to bring its total to $314 million since its debut on July 18, according to box-office trackers Media by Numbers. The Will Ferrell comedy Step Brothers opened in second place with about $30 million, while another new film, The X-Files: I Want to Believe earned an unbelievably low $10 million (although a Fox spokesman maintained that the figure was "within our reasonable expectations"). Some analysts marveled at the continued strength of The Dark Knight, with several noting that it was doing an amazing amount of repeat business. The film may not be done setting box-office records, as Media by Numbers President Paul Dergarabedian observed in an interview with Bloomberg News. He predicted that the film would become the first to hit $400 million in 18 days. "We're looking here at what could be Titanic-style numbers of a $600-million domestic box office," he said.

I went to see it over the weekend and loved it!! I was a bit cautious with all the hype about Health Ledger and his Joker, thinking people are just being nice cos of his passing, but i have to admit it, he deserves and oscar. I didnt recognise him at all cos he played the joker so well, the rest of the cast was excellent, and the story kept u wanting more. At 2 1/2 hrs long, i thought i'd get bored at some point, although i felt the whole 2 and a half hrs, never did i once want to leave my seat incase i missed something. This was definately a hype worth believeing!

Heath played Joker really well!

and yeah Edison was in it. he had one line and thats it ^^ after watching it, its worth the hype in regards to Heath's Joker ^^

and oh yeah, Two-Face ---he was really scary ~~ much better than Tommy Lee Jones camp portrayal of Two-Face

 

yeah it was scary. Two Face --- but i couldnt stop looking at his ugly side of his face when it was first showing in the hospital with the Joker

yea yea, Two Face custom made suit was win!! Joker's wasnt so bad either. there was one point when he got smacked by Batman so many times in the interrogation room, i was thinking the makeup was coming off and "oh look, Heath"

his next film, he should get a more sleeker venhicle cant wait

I thought it was a shame to kill two face off though, he would have made a good badie for the next one if they are thinking of doing a third. Not sure i liked maggie playing rachael though, it just looked odd i think, but she did a good job! Oh and i loved the batbike, it was cool, and loved the Lamborghini for the short appearance it had.

 

He was the doorman/guard who let morgan freeman into the building in HK, he had like a very small line, blink and u'll miss him, his face was a bit blurred.

 

yeah i know who you mean, the big guy. different person though i think ^^

like Chibi said, some guard who had one line in letting Lucius Fox into the building. no one of any importance

Two-Face should be back as he didnt die in my opinion. the whole conference was just a cover-up to preserve his good image of him being "the white knight"

Maggie!!! i thought shes quite attractive and i never seen her films

 

deebo from friday, ....but damn how can you not know michael clarke duncan (kingpin)!!!! and the suit "it should do well against cats"....Does this mean....catwoman? muahahhahah...i like the idea of talia al ghul better.

 

Anyone catch that part about the government-project that Bruce and Fox were talking about? Where Fox said he wasn't aware of the company doing government jobs? Could that be a hint to the whole Justice League movie? (building of the Justice League tower) Loved the movie btw just came back from watching it.

 

easily the best film in the world. Dnt think the next sequel can match TDK. Damn, cant believe my baby sister got scared throughout by the likes of the Joker, played so brilliantly by the late Heath Ledger, Two face as well as the main protagonist - Batman. A shame though that Batman, at the end where he took the blame for the murders and cant be trusted by the cititzens of Gotham again.
Overall 9.5/10

 

i definitely like Harvey Dent & Mr. Joker's make-up, they're fabulous.

I love this movie, It's more about how the city was in a chaos cuz' of Mr.Joker and how human nature twists.

Heath Ledger, fantastic, awesome, brilliant, wonderful, all those good words to him.
