There is no need to rush.
The market will see more of these by year end.
Key is waiting, since these devices are relatively new to the market and new ones should come out to give you better choices.
Throw down what features you need and wait for one to have it or find a compormise with current models.
I would stay away form the eepc as one major issue seems to be the unusally small and cramped keyboard.
Screen size will also play an issue here.
The msi wind and the favourable dell e should stir things up.
However it all depends on the time constraints, features and do you absolutely need one now.

i don't like small laptop, i stick to my 15.4" big screen better view!

  10. well the eeepc 900 has a 8.9 screen instead of 7, so none of that ugly black speaker crap surrounding the screen..

i don't want the aspire one 120gb edition, so the 8gb SSD with 512mb ram goes for 379.

the eeepc 900 comes with a 16gb SSD, with a GB of ram, for 399.

the thing is, i don't know if i can wait lol

the acer aspire one has a window xp version with 1gb ram 8gb ssd though still.. $399 also... i didn't really like the design on the eeepc 900... they only drop in price because almost all the netbook/umpc are using atom now.. which eeepc start using atom on newer models.. 900 is the old model using celeron even though celeron is still rated faster than atom.

how come mac book air not included? it can run windows also if you know how

  13. because macbook air sucks, blows balls, and costs 3k.

ultra portables are smaller, and are all under 1k.

macbook air sucks. and it isn't even in the same category.

Mac book air is at least $1500 for the base configuration, and you need to hack it to be able to run windows. it is just like the Sony tz series... they are at least $1500 also.. so that isn't included. Most of the UMPC right here are 7"-10" laptops below a cost of $600.

ye but they also have a 40gb SSD coming out with linux. u could always get that if u were fussed about having a SSD though tbh i go for more space over SSD.
