So I'm not sure if you guys noticed this or not, but where I live I've noticed a lot of HK CBC's (some), international students (aka. FOB's! Majority) seem to have a similar dress code. You can tell right away if they are HK or not. For example, HK girls tend to carry those HUMONGOUS bags, guys seem to have the exact same hair style and those(both sex) wear glasses have THICK frames. So what do you guys think?
well i agree with the thick frame glasses. a lot of guys do wear those, as for the girls with big bags, im not sooo sure about that
Needn't get all technical with all the hair style, thick framed glasses (some ABC's or CBC's wear them). If you're ABC/CBC/BBC/ZBC/etc., you can usually tell whether the person in question is a fob or not from his/her facial appearance and/or clothes. Simple as that. But yeah, fob dudes usually have the long funky hair styles, probably emulating the HK celebrities.
I have humungous bags and thick frames, but I was born and raised in California, USA. -what? Those are I guess what's popular now.. I wouldn't really say I can judge if they're HK by that.. maybe just the boy's hair.. Here you can tell if they're fobby by their clothes. It is really different (some boys wear tight glittery pants! and some girls wear loose saggy pants and have like 50 layers of shirts (ok, i'm exaggerating))
interesting...even though i've never been to HK before. from reading the threads i guess it's true that at least for the guys they wear glasses with thick frames there?? i personally like thin and light frames. anyways, i would love to go to HK one day.
All international students look the same from wherever they are e.g. India, Middle East, Thai, Philipinos, English, German, Italian, Spanish..... more than that most groups people on this planet look the same except when they are arty or rebellious type!
thick frame glasses is the hit at the moment lol. the rest of the clothes, I am not sure even I live in Hong Kong right now.
im hkbc and i can look fobby sometimes but thats because i think the clothes in uk are boring... but when i went hk apparently i stood out and look bbc >.<
I think certain marketing and style hit HK, so it's the "fashion" right now. Mostly by TV and how thier idol dress, I think
