Here's my tips: 1. Break them. 2. Get some baller pink Volks Racing bolts. 3. That's probably the most neglected mod. 4. Don't cheap out on them. Ever. That's the only thing holding your wheels from running away at 65mph. I have a set of black bolts from J's Racing -lol so what car is that 2.0CL?
i dont think those lock nuts are specially designed for a specific car.. they're aftermarket parts? so u can ask anywhere? lol
just call up your local tire shop, they should have universal sets for security bolt removal. all my rims have locking lugs on them and they didnt even ask me for the key, they were able to remove em no problem. Seriously, any respectable garage should have a kit for just about any type of lug http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/atd-3050.html you can even buy them yourself, they are for impact wrenches though, but i would think the shape of that locking lug on yours is pretty standard, im too lazy to go look at mine, but i think it is similar its also a good idea to take your car to a real tire shop if you are changing wheels as well, making sure you got the right amount of torque on the lugs is essential, poorly torqued lugs can fuck up your entire vehicle
Usually you can find a socket for that kind of lug nut online, from a dealership, or yeah just break it. You could check your other cars if they have a similar socket for it and just fidget with it. Anyways, most shops should do it for free or at a low cost because they should carry tools to get those lug nuts off.
u could jam a socket on the wheel lock and torque it off. mayb a size 19 or smaller. (not saying i steal cars or n e thing) but thats one way to do it. if its a factory wheel lock from acura, the techs have like 12 different sets of keys. they may look the same but its different. the cheapest way is to use a socket. if u want u can nicely ask one of the acura techs to c if they can take it off for u
i wish i can get a new car its not my anyways "yet" that is.. lol jaming a socket...? how? only 1 socket per lug? that would be a huge waste if so?
zzz... i might go ask my dad to check in with the dealer to see if they will "let you borrow" the key socket.. lol
or just drive it till the tires wear out... then u go to shop and get new tires and they'll go fix it =D
you could always buy it online they're called Mcgards and all Acuras use it (u could find a friend with an acura ;P) or even some other brands may use that lock too, thing is its so easy to steal cause you can buy the locks at your local auto department store (IE in Toronto, Canadian Tires) but heres the website http://www.mcgard.com/automotive/product.asp?page=4&group=1 try going around and asking if wheel/tire stores carry Mcgards im sure they do even my small tire store where i bought my winters carried em, dont buy from stealership
def not a waste!!! lol 3-400 is ok i remember paying 500+ for a PAIR >.< wen i clipped something and one tire got cut =( lol but they were good tires never noticed how great they were until i got some cheapo ones and notice they don't grip haahah
don't forget.. our integra is a small rim.. only 14" so it is a lot cheaper lolz my dad says we're going to check with the dealer on sunday lol
