Roger Federer is declining. Seems like he is losing his killer instinct.

Roger isnt no1 anymore btw, Nadal is

His decline is due to the emergence of nadal, his arm is a beast and with age our skills will decline in Tennis, they best years is in their mid 20s i think

Yes, he should retire just because he's not winning anymore. Then maybe Roddick and Hewitt should have retired? I don't think so.

Maybe losing the number one ranking will take some pressure off him.

Well said, besides now he got a thing to prove and competition can only bring the best out of him. Who remembers the Wimbledon final, that was the best tennis ive seen, it would be a HUGE loss if he would retire just bcos he no longer no1

He's doing pretty bad this year

but i guess he IS still GOOD ... but i mean this is professional sport ~ winning and losing matters a lot .. especially to the world #1 ~

but if u are an athlete urself u'd know that u've ups and downs all the time no matter who u are and how good u are at a sport... i guess he's just in a slump.~ he's make it out !

i think he still has the ability and is the same as last time, its just he lacks confidence and mentally is not as strong so he doesn't play as well.

Federer's downfall... unless he gets himself together and maybe re-invent his game.

Roger Federer is done with his golden years, i'll be surprised if he wins this U.S. Open.

True, but he'll still is going to give the younger generation a run for their money. He may not win as much as he use too but you can't just cross him out in Grand Slams. If he gets a little bit of luck and a refueled game, he will a couple of more grand slams.

Playing the hard court will negate some of Nadal's speed, and since Federer has a good serve as well as good all-around, he can win the US Open.
