Er... did the American team protest about the age of the PRC gymnasts? I thought this was mostly a media motivated and directed question. So how is this similar to the US runner protesting about a false start (a technical aspect of an event, as opposed to participant eligibility)? I'm not sure if I understand your position.

Holy Cow... I wonder what was on his mind: -shock

Talk about unsportsmanlike conduct. They should have had Public Security arrest him. :nono:

It was unsportsmanlike conduct; The Kazakhstan guy didn't exactly help the situation, I mean your opponent has just lost in extraordinary circumstances and he's dancing around.

You know the more I turn this over and over in my head, the more I feel that this isn't just "unsportsmanlike" behavior. If you go back years ago, things like, spitting on your opponent, cursing at them, or refusing to shake their hand after a match in which you lost; well... that's considered unsportsmanlike. And I agree, the technical winner, his behavior was unsportsmanlike.

This? This went way above and beyond unsportsmanlike. This was an outright assault and should be considered criminal. The IOC and that ref should file a complaint against him with the Police and the man should be arrested and charged. Just because the assault and battery occurred in a sports venue doesn't mitigate the severity of the crime. The man should spend some time in a Chinese jail for this, and then be booted out of China.

If you liked that picture, you're gonna love this one; here's the original write up from the New York Times:

Damn. The outlook for PRC soccer is so dismal, it's not only scathing, it's rather pathetic.

arge, reading this stuff is pissing me off in a way.
We talk about Olympics as an event to bring peace
and union to nations, but there is so much racism.
Why? Cause Chinese CAN"T be better? So we have to
start up all these conspiracies and try to prove that the
Chinese isn't as good as other nations? Why can't we all
    just get along.
