http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pr...75C834AEE17ACD0F12CB3681FE6B2D41D102F4FCFE78# Should I buy that? opinions, yes, no? basically just for school.. i dunno if its worth 400 bones though
i guess i'll say it is the best UMPC out there besides the MSI Wind... for the price of $400.. i guess its alright
i wouldn't actually.. way over priced.. they announced an "affordable" netbook.. which the super failed, they only trying to compete with Asus EEE, forgot about the others such as acer aspire one, MSI Wind U100/U90, Lenovo s10, etc.. Dell E price range are $350-$450.. with a 4gb SSD-16gb SSD..
lol i walked into a best buy the other day for the same laplop. i thought canada comps had it for 350 or something, so i could price match, but best buy doesn't price match can comps. it's not worth 400 man. i'm gonna see if i can wait for the lenovo s10... IF i can wait... now lenovo better not be homo like dell and increase their "most affordable price" by another 100 loonies. dell is gay. fucking bastards.
the question is.. will lenovo ever come to Canada people already preordered on lenovo website for US.. lol
i went and checked it out... the resolution is fucked up... 1280x600 looks so weird and the screen is a bit too small, if it was 11" it would be perfect, but 9" is too small, also the keyboard is too unweildy. another inch in diameter for the whole thing would make it perfect, but as it stands its not useful for my purposes.
http://www.engadget.com/2008/09/04/dells-inspiron-mini-9-pops-official/#comments 100 dollar inspiron mini's after you buy a dell laptop lol people jumping on this...will post link to deal in the hot deals thread...
if so, netbooks are not the option for you lol, all netbook from what i know have smaller size keyboard than the acer aspire one, at 10 inch screen, it is still the same res on most of the netbooks. the cheapest dell laptop is the Dell 15 Studio for the price of $649+$99 for a Dell Mini lol so total o $749+shipping/tax? around $800-$830
12 or 13 inch is perfect, there is a 13" sony laptop that was really nice, but its 1400 dollars, which is waaaay too much money
sony keyboard is alright.. price... no way worth getting that.. you can get around 4-5 netbooks for that price :laugh2: if you want a 13".. get a mac lol or a toshiba u305, Dell 1318, or HP TX2500 (12.1)
mac is just as expensive as the sony... they are in the same price catagories. I doubt il get a laptop in the near future.. maybe once i pursue grad studies and i need something portable to manage presentations or smthn, but until then, it would just be a distraction for me during class
they are in the same exact price range as the other "affordable" notebook price range. the s10 i ordered was the same price as a dell 9 i just speced out. i dunno where you are getting the notion that they aren't in the same realm or being over priced. the only reason why the lenovo was more tentalizing at the time was the 15% coupon on purchase...otherwise these 2 are in the same price category check cdw out...they have a deal for the 13" laptop http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=1357480 a couple of my friends bout them and love them
