Yea i just checked it in the shop today. It is quite small. My provider was offering it on a 2 year contract. So i thought why not? Cause ive been customer for years and dont mind to stay 2 more years. Acer Aspire One got bigger keyboard or something else? What about the speed of Asus Eee 900 and Acer Aspire One? Which one is faster? Ive read somewhere that Eee Celeron is performing better than Atom and someone ran Adobe CS3 on the Eee PC 900.
i'm not sure about the cpu speed.. intel atom is just meant for light user/power saving.. intel atom most netbook are using N270 1.6 GHZ while the eee 900 celeron M is rated around 900 MHZ.. but they are a whole different cpu.. atom is a 45nm? or something like that and celeron is 55 or something.. most netbook are using intel atom now.. speed.. i never really try.. besides running browsers and things.. at least my aspire one starts up faster than all my computer lol -tongue2 Edit: link to buy Dell mini 9 http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?cs=19&kc=6f961&oc=dnpcxw1&x=7&y=8 enjoy.. overpriced..
that dell mini9 is 599 in aussie >.< tho comes with 16gb ssd, 1gb ram, webcam seems like dad wants laptop arghhhh and im gonna have to buy >.< but now that the asus n10 is coming at approx 599usd (so no idea wat its gonna b priced in aud)... and it looks better too... and then theres the lenovo s10, thats at 699aud (either 16gb ssd or 80gb hdd) decisions... decisions.... this crappy notebook better not hold back my car rofl... mini9 vs n10 vs s10... pffttt so wat u guys think? obviously im not using it...
WTF?!?!?! lenovo is going to be 699 AUD???!?! so that's what... 500 CAD?! fucking bitches. i'm getting an aspire one.
lenovo s10 is/was at $430 or so.. but ppl had coupon to bring it down to around $373 when it was on pre order.
it was just a code lol.. many people digg on the lenovo s10 in US.. after one week, people cancelced the orders and went to buy the acer aspire one for price range of $250-$350 lol
anyways, it's not coming to canada... lenovo fails hard. really disappointed. guess i'll have to settle for a 400 DOLLAR aspire one....
hmm...these reviews i'm readin about the acer one have been hit or miss...i think i'll just stick my order with the s10...though the inspiron 9 looks tempting
the screen wasn't the issue for some people some said it was sluggish and didn't feel as weel constructed overall
guess when i get home i'll see which one feels better... not like im really gonna use it neway... rofl... not even buying it for myself >.<
wahh i remember the first laptop: acer aspire one... it got my mom so pissed. so she was just looking for a comp to surf the net...and just last week, the price was only $350 USD. so she went to bestbuy, they said they were sold out. next day went again, then they said out of stock again but the truck is delivering more in two hours. two hours later, they said the laptops were reserved...............WTF? and the day before, they didn't even let her reserve one... but anyways,,,there's no cd drive in that one...
there is NO CD DRIVE in any of the netbooks.. and acer aspire one is sold out within 3 hours in most places in BestBuy, you can blame the coupon users -lol lol some people printed like 2-3 $100 off coupon from the internet sign up.. so people went ahead and brought all of them and sold it on craigslist or ebay.. there is no way of anyone getting them besides on sunday when it was firstly new to bestbuy-devil Edit: here are some pictures of my aspire uno(one) in the bag it came with back front sides webcam keyboard screen (not on full brightness since it isn't running on power only battery)
apparently the asus n10 is going to marketed at US850 wtf >.< tho they have the cheaper models at 750 and 650... specs sound something like atom 1.6ghz 10.2" 2gb ram 250gb sata hdd gforce go 6300 256 gfx built in wifi + bluetooth vista bus or xp pro altec lansing speakers hdmi output webcam fingerprint reader silver 3.5lbs there goes this option out the door...
Well, there's a reason Asus is not using the Eee tag on this puppy. A big HD, a dedicated gpu (it's the 9300M GS, btw), an branded speakers, and other extra features, I wouldn't expect this to dip down to even below $700.
