Do You Speak Cantonese?

Lazy Canto... Lazy English... its all the same. Time is money, right guys? Its like why do we type LOL instead of laugh out loud? Why do we shorten words and abbreviate terms? Its all to save time. Yes, we are mispronouncing, I admit I do it ALL the time; then again, so does... almost EVERYONE. Sooner or later it will just be accepted as correct, all the better. We aren't all linguists, and we can't always be so anal and perfect. Just a thought.

These video are great. Canto is not that much of a prob. for me. Trying to pick up Mando, but can't seem to get the pronunciation quite right!

 

i can speak it pretty well, i can recognize a lot of characters but writing is really difficult

 

i speak canton but when i went to toishan, i started to learn toisanese (its kinda similar language right)

i'm pretty good with pronunciation. well pretty good with my current cant lvl. I'm speaking whitewashed canto most o the time =)

LOL no wonder i thought it sounded wrong. IT IS WRONG. After watching the first 30 seconds of the first one it was a funny. I thought she really meant it too. =P

Well, I can speak cantonese but I can't read and write it. Still I can't communicate very well in HK I guess, they talk too formal there

Proper cantonese is so hard to know nowadays. Especially living in America. I think as long as people can understand, its okay.

 

cantonese rules. mandarin is cool too. i speak both but since c comes before m, cantonese is better.LOL
