My internet is slow during the night

well at least its only a daily limit...
back home mines a monthly limit... and once ur capped... ur stuck for the rest of the month >.<

 

if you're on wifi, set a password for it and you'll be fine after that

 

I dont really use the wi-fi, I have a cable run from the router to my pc. Also theres a password set on the router so thats sorted.

 

I'm having this issue too, but this is the norm for many of my friends as well.. I've been told that evenings are usually the peak peiods, so nothing I can do about it.

 

omg thats new with virgin having more caps. gd thing i'm not on virgin, so technically u get fast speed if u don't use the bandwidth, i rather sacrifice some of the speed for more bandwidth personally.

 

its ok, cause they only cap speeds for 5 hours per day, if you do go over 3GBs a day. Its not like they cap your speeds for a month as soon as you go over a certain limit. Its something that you can live with i think

So all you have to do is leave torrents running either over night or over the morning. Fair enough since I was downloading every available moment in time plus 2.3MB/s (for a 20mBit line) is pretty nice

 

*sigh* hate it when the internet is slow especially at night >.<
I wish i had the old NTL connection, now im on 10mb Pipex and it seems sooooo slow >.<

May be better off finding another torrent of that movie.

omg .... mines different ...im with aol and its supposed to be 8mb or what ever but its not ...when i dl us dramas during day .. it is so slow its unbelievable .. lm using bitcomet ..... and it goes less then 1mb ... pisses me off but after mid night it it gooes 8 mb .... and i cant always leave my internet on over night .. and i dont know what to do .........arggghhhhhh-madsign1

you mii be sharing your internet with someone in the family. or someone mii be stealing internet from you. i suggest you to set a password to protect your internet, so people who live by cannot use the wireless to steal your internet connection. oh sometime bt slows down our internet connection.

 

Lucky people here,,, The fastest I've had bt was 280(628 in DDL )kbs and I have 3MB internet. Being in the country in Ireland sucks.

 

yeh 4mb download sucks, wana get O2's 16mb, thats awesome

 

4MB internet is the best I can get in Rural Ireland. I think the best one can get in Dublin is 12-16MB.

You using wifi? If you are, you should password it.
