Where's the powerful Cinny offense? Only 7 points in the 1st half?
Adrian Peterson is destroying the Colts interior defense, and their offense can't move the ball at all in the first half because they are missing a weapon (Dallas Clark is injured) and the OL is in shamble due to injuries.
Jag OL can't make the gap for the RB and Garrard facing pressures left and right.
Only a 4 points lead in the first half for the Giants against one of the worst teams in NFL (they are playing the Rams)?

Let's do a recap here... hmm...

Cinny: The "offensive" firepower managed to score 7 points the entire game.

Colts: Ouch, ugly game from the Colts. Peterson burned their rushing defense for 160 yards. Thank goodness Tarvaris Jackson sucks, or else they would get at least 1 touchdown from one of those great drives they had. Peyton Manning: 311yds, 1 TD, 2 INT.

Jag's OL is indeed garbage but probably not worse than the Colts' if Ugoh out for any extensive time. Garrard's getting pressure left and right, running game managed only 98 yards total from Garrard (32), Taylor (49), and Jones-Drew (17). Ouch.

San Diego... wow. Their defense got burned for 39 Points. Wouldn't a healthy Merriman help here? The Chargers got lucky their special team put them back in the lead late in the game. Even if they won, they really need to fix their D.

Giants demolished the Rams, which I'm really happy. They need to destroy these bad teams to show they are among the elites. Go Giants!

Brown did pretty good, but what's with the horrible clock management. They're still garbage. They also got some good luck since the wind helped their D (where offense will run the ball more). Big Ben did really good with the wind blowing in this game in the limited time he passed, with an injured non-throwing shoulder no less (12/19, 186yds, 1 TD, no INT). The Steelers defense also stuffed the passing and rushing game. As expected from the favorite to win the AFC.

    08-09 AFC Champ: Pittsburgh Steelers

It's only week 2. You can't call a team garbage or playoff bound looking at the first two weeks of the season. Last year the niners start 2-0 what happen. the chragers start the season off rough.

I find it funny that you think Cinny is a threat... which is pretty funny in and of itself.

Sorry, if Peyton has so many weapons, why they only managed to score only 18 points AT HOME (FYI: Dome team usually score more points on artificial turf than grass)? They better get the OLine and the interior defense fixed or they are not going far in the playoff. Lost to the Bears and only eek out a 3 points win against the Vikings thanks to Tarvaris Jackson? That's last drive is nice, but if the opponent can score a TD or two instead of kicking 6 FG, they will not have a chance to come back.

Jag OL is garbage, I'm just mentioning it so that your thick skull will know they are not contenders anymore. Even other analysts out there are doubting Jag's ability to contend. And if their defense is so good, why they allowed a guy like Trent Edwards completing 80% of his pass for 250+ yards? Watch the game.

I said the lost of Merriman will hurt the defense. Looks like I'm right. I don't care if they score 30+ points if they gave up 30+ points. And it seems that you can't accept the fact that the defense isn't what it was like last season. I specifically named the SD's defense will be a problem. Now you trying to change the subject about they could have win due to a miss call by Hochuli and are unlucky thus far. They still got two chances to stop them with their D, (on the TD, then the 2PT conv). They stop neither. Who's the one that can't read posts now?

Being humble? Ah no. They are suppose to demolish a bad team and they did. If they demolish, let's say, the Eagles or the Cowboys, then maybe you're right. Until then, I'm cheering for my favorite team who won on Sunday.

Excuse me, first, watch the game. Second, the Steelers dominated the game on both side of the ball. It's a low scoring game due to a gust of 60mph wind. Third, the Browns are garbage. Did you even see their clock management at the end of the half? I guess that will be a no. Third, no TD scored for 2 games now. Browns = Garbage

The Patriots... beat someone other than Kansas City (a bottom feeder) and a Jets (too many overestimated them).
All I read is blah blah blah, making excuses and trying to avoid my question. Pretty sad. Let's just say... your knowledge isn't top-notch. And it's like calling the pot calling the kettle black when you mentioned lack of respects by calling me names and dissing my inability to read (I'm sure I can read a lot better than you, tyvm).

lol this guy is a joke, talking trash in NFL as well? it's impossible to discuss maturely w/ this guy aoes -.-

brown is garbage? that's almost as good as calling kobe a choke. peyton having many weapons? uhh, last i checked, offensive line is battered up and even center Saturday is out, thus forcing peyton create the plays for himself, and Addai having little to no effects with Harrison as they should be.

i'm not even going to go into the rest of what he said, cause he'll just return with some more crap that he think he read, and making nfl much less appealing knowing there's such cool "diehard" fans out there... hahahaha

Cinny = a mess. There is no threat from them whatsoever. Ignorant? Are you the guy that make a big deal about the Giants' defense with their Week 1 performance? Most good teams usually win from the starts (Key word, most, so there's exception), but a team like the Bengals is garbage.

Don't skew my argument. Teams like the Colts scores more points on artificial turf than grass, and this is a fact. Google it yourself, I'm tired of feeding info because you're ignorant on the subject. If they have oh-so-many weapons, shouldn't they managed at least more than 18 points? Vikings' defense is good, no doubt, but com'on. Their offense has struggled for two games straight already. BTW if you don't know, Sander is out for 4-6 weeks, so good luck to their defense.

Because you don't know which part of the offense is bad. I'm just pointing it out. Jags didn't pressure a lot against the Bills' OL, so I don't see how their pass-rush is good. Don't based their pass D on the Titan game, because Vince Young is crap. (Collin, FYI, is 2-2 for 65 yards after he replaced Young)

What do I get, another excuses. SD's defense was destroyed in the first half, and was owned in the last two plays of the game (TD, and then 2PT conv). Hm... contender-type D? NOT.

The Browns' offense looks clueless, that's both passing and rushing. You said they didn't capitalize on the mistake? Actually they did. I remembered that the first pick, they brought it back for a TD on a Big Ben's TD to Hines Ward (70 yards drive, so it's not like they didn't do much). The 2nd pick, you can't do anything because time expired in the 1st half. Didn't capitalize... laughable. I think you should save it yourself... lmao.
The scores looks closer than it did because of the weather (low-scoring game), but it was never close. Browns' managed no TD for two straight HOME game... wow, they are garbage.

Patriots is not the best team in the AFC, that's all I will say. Playing in the garbage AFC East might help them make the playoff, but that's it.

Good news, Big Ben has a strained shoulder, not separated shoulder. A pretty clear path for the Steelers. They'll go 14-2 for the season, BEST IN AFC.

All I see is the excuse-making and avoiding the subject at hand. -roflyawn

Oh you again. It's pretty hard to argue when you knows jack. At least Aoes has some ideas on football and basketball and won't resulted in personal attack.

Obviously, it's pretty pointless to even argue with you. I already posted about problem with Colts' OL with Saturday (I know that already, tyvm) out and possibly Ugoh (which I posted). You're pretty late for the party.. LMAO.

You can't go into the rest of what I said because you don't know jack. I guess that's good news because it's just some BS you made up that isn't even worth reading. Poor kid... seek some help please. -rotfl

i don't know jack ? maniac, you act as if you KNOW it all, which obviously you don't cause you repeat the same stuff over and over about how our arguments are "excuses" and how "we just repeat the same stuff" :wiggle:lolol:wiggle: how hopeless, ignorance is bliss my friend.-whistle cepailly when it comes to sports ;) funny how you resort to people's intelligence on sports when you clearly have no clue how to open up to other people's opinion ;) since when did sport become so one minded?-whistle

fyi, i didn't bother reading all ur ignorant arguments, so obviously i missed some points, but by me repeating what you wrote, and you calling me an emptymind when it comes to sport, doesn't that mean i know just as much as u cuz i know bout the injures to the OL ? oops, that means ur emptyminded too, my bad -innocent2

On topic, in the Steelers schedule, the only real threats is the Giants, Cowboys, possibly the Eagles and either the Charger (if they ever bother fixing the D) or Colts (major problem with the OL as well as rush D). Barring any major upset, 14-2 shouldn't be so out of this world. Best team in the AFC.

Based on the BS you posted, yes, you don't know jack. Changing subject, making excuses, repeating stuffs, that's all you do. How sad... for you anyway. And it's funny you took offense when I said Kobe is a choke with supported proof, yet you called me one minded... what's one minded? Do you mean close minded?

And I can tell you don't know jack. You didn't read it, then labeled ignorant. You probably don't know what Aoe and I were arguing about, yet you try to barge in. Are you sure you even know the meaning of "ignorant?" Why don't you try making some comments on my opinion of these teams if you are so sure? That's BS, lol. You can't offer anything because I got it spot on. (And don't take this as a I-know-it-all, because I'm sure there's ton of people out there comes to a similar opinion)

Okay, the Finale... So what did you contribute to this thread? Nothing. Don't be mad when you're not as knowledgeable at something, then take that anger and then rant in this thread. You need to understand it's okay to be wrong, and learn from it.

what did i contribute to this thread? who started this thread? LOL yeah, okay, i won't post in the NBA thread anymore, cuz you just keep repeating the "off topic, BLAH BLAH BLAH crap" and it's pretty hopeless.

you're the one that's kind off topic with the whole merriman thing, that is, this thread was about brady being injured ;)

to you who assume everyone is wrong, it's pretty hard to accept what you say ;) cause obviously your spot on arguments are all only truthful to some extent, and can always be counter argued ;)

but imma just say this.. lol steelers 14-2, that's a funny prediction assuming how they'll lose to eagles this weekend. let's live in reality here, steelers won't even go 13-3 if they played the offense played the way they played vs browns

All I hear is a guy who likes to whine and whine endlessly.

And I'm the one who's off topic? You're a funny guy. How about you read all the previous post where there was a Merriman discussion and I'm just responding to it.

"they lost to the giants ;) so their team wasn't as perfect as their regular season. heh oh well, i think cowboys are the favorites atm along w/ maybe pittsburgh, def not colts :( peyton blew today" Look at that? Who's post is this? I thought we are talking about Brady being injured. -bowroflarms

I never assume anyone is wrong, but people like you that make empty statements are definitely in the wrong. There are so much fallacies in your argument, that it's not even funny anymore. As an example, instead of attacking my argument, you chose to me instead, that's ad hominem. Another would be putting words in my argument which distorted it (you like to do that), then proceed to attack it, that would be a straw man. Please, learn how to argue and if you can't, admit you're wrong.

Bad weather = low scoring game, this is a fact (that's for the Browns game). Big Ben did quite well despite the 60mph gust, and rushing are bad for both side because defense is focusing on the rush. Teams don't like passing in bad weather. Basic knowledge here.

You think 14-2 is impossible? They have a good QB, good RB, good receiving corp, and a great defense. They only have 5 legitimate threats in their schedule and both the Chargers (bad D) and the Colts (lack of rushing game + bad run D) are inferior teams. That leaves the Giants (missing two DE), Eagles , and Cowboys (weak S). One win out of those three games is not absurd.
