Hi all, Need help here, was there a way to reduce my CPU FAN speed. It spin so fast and damn noise.. . 1st i thought becozz of dust but after i clean the FAN the noise still there...is driving me CRAZY -dead
buy a fan that has adjustable speeds =) u do know the cpu fan goes at that speed because it needs to.. the cpu is probably heating up cos of stuff ur using leave the pc in a better environment and upgrade the case =)
depends on the mobo not sure wat he has... but as i mentioned earlier u can always buy aftermarket "silent" fans if u get decent products for ur case and fans u'd hardly hear the noise a $40 case vs $300 case, was like near 20 degrees difference on my cpu not to mention u hardly hear anything its still noticeable but wen u compare wat it is to wat it was before... its like chocolotte vs shit
^ too much hassle to set up..... fans are quick and easy to install...... takes like 10 minutes, from the unplugging of the computer peripherals to the replugging with the fan installed
well it is a hassle with those custom one with a big tank of thingy but if u buy those water cooling kits it should be pretty easy like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jALdB91xDWo
what motherboard do you use, most will have the option to have a variable fan speed depending on CPU temp See if you can find the temp you CPU is running at, it may be the case that the fan is on max because you have very high temps, either due to use, or because the heatsink has become loose or the thermal paste has become useless
dim8sum i fucking love ur picture lol dunno why but he seems to have awsome pics all da time, good taste
scythe is pretty good imo, and remember to change thermal compound (arctic silver) or u could always get your HSF and CPU lapped =\
i wouldnt change the speed of the fan.. else it might burn away ur cpu cause of heat xD it only will spin fast when needed i guess...
You mean the fan circuitry will short out and epically failing the power to it? Yeah.... you don't want to be messing with changing fans to drasctically....
