zen aurvanas: $40 Cx300's: $50 just wanna know which one should i get, which one is better sounding and more comfortable ( cx300s look more comfortable to me though). want some opinions...
Sennheiser usually wins in the sound/headphone department, Creative are good at soundcards and speakers.
^lol already have marshmallows want some other brand. but i can get the creative ep640 for 30 bucks too lol... http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/Sear...reative+ep640&searchSection=All&go.x=0&go.y=0 but i want to go for the higher end models...aurvana and cx300s. anybody tried/compared them yet?
nah fuck that i'm too cheapo to shed 100 on headphones haha... but the cx300 and aurvanas were like 90 bucks...now it's cheap so it's my chance to cop one of these bad boys. -bigsmile or i should rethink and get an over the head type headphone like the grados instead since i have none haha.
find me the $35 in-store/no trade-in deals/rebates etc....it would be appreciated lol... but cx300 is definitely "higher end" than jvc air.
Actually, Sennheiser isn't known for their IEMs and I wouldn't consider the Creative ones anywhere near the same level as the JVCs. Sennheisers entry level IEM can't hold a candle against entry level IEMs from companies like Shure, Ultimate Ears, Jays or Etymotic.
lol i know...but the companies your talking about...their headphones are at least 100 or like 80....i kinda want the super fi's (currently searching for some deals) but i'm not really a pure or even close to being a real audiophile and it's not like i have a great sounding mp3 player either, gotta use some cash to upgrade my mp3 player also lol.
wait, I thought the drivers (or whatever they're called) are exactly the same as the ones in the Creaive EP 630's? I've heard that the EP 630's are exactly the same sounding as the CX 300, only difference being the type of cording they use. Then again, I used to have the Aurvanas, and decided to sell them cause I realised I don't need such expensive in-ear's. Erm, Aurvana's have gone down a lot, I remember they were still like 100 USD a year ago? The CX 300's are more expensive then the Creative EP 630's in australia, and the Aurvanas are about 115 AUD. the price difference here is remarkable, so yeah. I think CNet did a compare thingo with the Aurvana's and E2C's and they said the Creative "matched up well with them". Here's the link: (But CNet reviews aren't exactly the best lol) http://www.cnet.com.au/mp3players/headphones/0,239035668,339283723,00.htm In terms of comfort, I often found the Aurvana's fell out of my ears quite easily, so if there's some store which you can test them out at see if they fit in your ears and not fall out and whatnot. Erm, if you are looking to get the CX 300's, you might want to take a look at the Creative EP 630's as they might be substantially cheaper then the 300's. I'm probably not making much sense .. I can't think atm after a cramming session. BTW, didn't you ask about the Creative Aurvana's like ages, ages ago? EDIT: My opinion, see if you like the Aurvana's in-store if possible (read some reviews, ask at some audiophile forums or sth) -if you don't like them, and are thinking of going for the CX 300's consider the Creative EP 630's and save yourself even mroe money. What MP3 are you using atm anyways?
^lol yea the ep 640s are like 30 bucks. and yea i asked about the aurvanas a while ago haha. but they were out of my price range, now they are like more than 50% less lol, my interest came up again lol. and yea thats one problem i see about the aurvanas, they don't look like they have a good fit and also the shape looks kinda weird to me. i really want to try them but i don't see many stores that let u try in ear headphones. if they do it's usually the higher end.
I couldn't stop but laugh at the Creative soundcards bit. It's true in the past, but with the soundcard and Vista incident earlier this year, Creative are going to die some time soon.
I wouldn't think stores would have a return policy for headphones?? you could try asking about it and see what they say, or whether they'll let you open it up and test it. If you are going to be doing like violent actions such as running and stuff... I don't think the Aurvana's would be good; they'd just always keep on falling out of your ears, and would be an absolute pain to be put back in.
nah definitely not getting it for the running and excercise, have another pair for those purposes, but damn why can't all in ear headphones have memory foam as an option instead of silicon, silicon buds sucks cause they never fit in. and i think i can open and return but it will be a hassle, maybe lol. and while i'm at it, anyone find any deals on good over the head headphones lemme know lol, preferably in the 50 dollars range haha (i'm pushing it, i know lol)...
I Suggest you get these instead, lol its really light and good quality sound, lol and it has a retractable cord , i i've been using a pair of these ( the Silver ones) yes, theres lots of colours , and its really good,
i seriously don't know what the aurvana buds sound like, but i've run into the aurvana dj cans... and i gotta say, i was impressed... just not enuff to shell $100 for though... so if the buds sound nething like the cans and u can get the buds real cheap like $40-50... it might be worth it cuz the cx300's aren't that great for the price range ur looking at... =/
