the only thing the PS3 had over the 360 was motorstorm... now xbox has 'Pure' which is better than even the next instalment of motorstorm along with excellent Live online network support (get what you pay for). This makes things better for me as motorstorm was the game that was pushing me to get a PS3, there is no other game on it that makes the PS£ worth purchasing. (i left the £ sign as it amused me >.<)

Lol im not a fanboy.... im not saying the xbox is better because it has pure, im saying i dont need to buy the Ps3 as it doesnt have an advantage anymore because the xbox has a game that rivals and even beats the only game that made the PS3 worth buying imo Huge library of games aside the xbox has the best online service which is most important for me. SO the PS3 no longer has the advantage, as i said im no fanboy, ill get both consoles if i need to but Sony is doing badly, for the first time ever im choosing M$ over PS which supprisies me.
^but u already have an xbox? but i would never buy ps3 for motorstorm, that game bores me with it's limited customization/gameplay variance ( played the demo and read about whats in game)....i bought it for ff13, unfortunately it failed me at that too so yea ps3 failed a while ago, wait actually sony failed, ps3 is still a better system overall if your talking about technicality/features, but xbox is a better Game System and because ps3 delays their shit to ps4, my ps3 collecting dust now, metal gear was the only game that made it a good purchase.
Naa i dont have an xbox, im gona buy one, i had one a while ago and sold it but im gona get another cus i NEED midnight club LA - even though its coming on all formats the xbox wins because of the online support being better than the PS3's, we have to pay for it but its better. I like racing games a lot which is why i would have goten a PS3, was very close to getting it but i wasnt to pleased about it cus it cant play my PS2 games and i dont want a second hand 6 gig version and the special addition ones are out of stock. in the future i can see myself getting it for GT5 though. Yeah xbox is beter games system, more fun than the PS3, i never thought i would say this as i had PS back from day 1 and was laughing at the first xbox and thought the 360 would fail.. but its awsome. TBH i dont even care about metal gear solid, i played the first one, couldnt be bothered with the second one and forgot to buy the third one >.< But yeah the PS3 shows that power and no games = crappy console in comparison to less powerful but awesome games and super online support which is the most important thing for me. ill still get a ps3, but when its in the £200 price range, that like a million pounds for those in the US (cant help poking fun at the US economy).
if you only get the console for the racing games then i would still recommend ps3. gran turismo is definitely the granddaddy of em all. and every racing game except project gotham and forza is on ps3 also. but if you like forza and project gotham instead of gt5 i wouldn't blame u for picking the xbox. but it seems like you will probably like motorstorm 2 (which didn't come out yet, so you definitely can't compare it with pure atm cause it might be better). but if you want great online for racing games then yeah, ur going with the right choice i guess.
Yeahh, ill end up getting a ps3 soon anyway but i think i may wait till GT5 comes out before i do that then ill have to see if the online support is perfect, if not then its pointless for me so hopefully PS3 will have some kind of payed subscription based online thing like Live so people can play worldwide like live instead of bewing stuck with peeps from your own coutry/part of the world.
GT5 will not come out till atleast 2010... GT5 prologue will be here to stay for a long while... and it's not a bad investment cuz they are constantly updating it... there will be another update some time this coming 4th quarter... so if ur gonna wait till GT5 to get a PS3... ur gonna miss out on a few games... as far as online play for PS3 goes... it honestly isn't that bad... it's infinitely better than nintendo's for sure... and it's just slightly behind the 360... ur right that it's better since u do pay for it... but the lag isn't completely bad as there are plenty people able to play games like Tekken over the internet, and well all know that each frame is vital in a game like Tekken... but in the end it's ur choice... whatever fits ur needs...
ps3s trump card = motorstorm ???! lawl.. i personally think ps3 >xbox but maybe its cause i have it on everyday theres so much more benefit in the PS3 than the xbox imo... one of the biggest thing is blu-ray still the best one in the market. and best media player too well for me anyways since im always streaming movies, dramas to the ps3 which the formats range from avi, mkv, rmvb etc. and the RROD Oo??? i would consider that a defect for M$ and i prefer ps3 controller... looking at the xbox one turns me off although i have heard the controller is more comfortable than the ps one
^i use ma ps3 for .ts/.tp files hehe....some too advance for ma crap graphics card. HD! and the xbox is a little more comfortable mostly for fps, but sucks for fighting games.
Hmm, i dont want prologue, ill wait for GT5, if enough of my friends had a PS£ then i would get it, but im seeing everyone with xbox 360's, i doubt ill miss much games as the xbox360 will have its own version most of the time (goes both ways ofc). Yeah why not? for that particular genre motorstorm was the only game on the PS3 that was not matched on the xbox, every other PS game has an xbox360 version or a game that can match it, i did say i like racing games the most rite....? But i AM the tekken master but i wont get one just for tekken and my tekken tag tournament (fav game) wont work on the PS£!!! and i dont want a second hand PS3. Yes when it comes to fighting games like street fighterm the PS pad is the best no doubt about it, xbox pad is ok for games like DOA or soul cal but virtua fighter needs the arcade stick really, and you can get some very good ones for cheap.
