In my opinion, its not worth getting as the only improvements are the screen and the mic, I wont bother with this. Waste of money
PSP 3000 is $199 according to pspfanboy, damn I would've gotten it if I didn't have my fat XD, there's plenty of fun games on the psp 2 but anyways you might want to get those screen protectors for the nds and a R4 w/ micro sd memory card.
the new Psp will be cheaper than the old ones? lol still, i reckon you could wait till these "newer ones " come out,
if playing for fun, i would go to nds since nds have lot of fun game to play... and it's doesnt take much spaces... for psp, not nice to play... most game is boring as hell... but the CG is good only
I have both portables, both hacked and filled to the brim with homebrew. I frankly think the PSP is 10x better. The DS games aren't appealing at all to me, whether it be Zelda or Metroid. The controls are gimmicky in my opinion. I have the R4 and the R4 truly shows the capability of the DS. The stereo speakers suck on the DS. I can listen to music, but at an "okayish" volume on max on earphones. I can watch youtube-standard/low-quality type videos, very pixellated. Sure I can fit a lot of games, but most of em I happen to not like. The only thing I like best about the DS is a calling application. I use it sometimes for long distance calls and prank calls I love my PSP. It almost always keeps me entertained on the go. If I dont feel like gaming, I just watch a movie. If I'm feeling tired, I listen to songs. If I'm at somewhere with wifi and I'm feeling extremely bored? Well I go on the half decent internet browser. If not, I spend my time playing Crisis Core, Tekken, Syphon Filter and SOCOM. So judging from my ideal games, I say I would be of the more hardcore crowd.
PSP aint that good tbh, since when your a hardcore gamer you wouldnt play on PSP since you got better consoles, when you buy it for watching movies.. well after 1 movie ur out of battery. and for traveling it might be good, but ive heared loading time takes ages.. so it sux.. + games are most of the time pretty long NDS is more a party/family handheld and its pretty cool + if you use R4 or something its so cheap its a great handheld for parties etc. and on the other hand, i dont see PSP having so much party games
bottom line - psp aint got no games, typical of sony, if ridge racer was online then i would have a psp ASAP but noooooooooooo so i got mario cart instead
nds is easy in use... even for me (with the cyclo ds evolution card xD) and has many funny games... and good for playing together with friends psp... has more functions... inet on wifi was a great plus when i hadnt got a laptop... but if you don't like games so much like me... it'll become boring.
Ive got both NDS with R4 and PSP modded. PSP is alot better, the music, games, and features are soo much better then the NDS. I'd only recommend NDS to kids under 12 .
