I am thinking about getting this one. It costs about US $140 for 320. Worth it? Anyone has one?? I read some comments about it freezing up your computer every now and then. Is this true?? It didn't mention which MS version: XP or Vista so I don't know. Please share your comment...
i think u can get hdd for cheaper tbh especially since ur living in america, it should be about 100 dollars for 320gb or even less.
well the passport is portable.... so unless you really need one on the go then get a passport but if not just get an external
I was at Fry's yesterday... $120 for 500gb external WD Passport... so w/o looking online, it can definitly still be found cheaper elsewhere
^are you sure it's a passport? passport elites are the 2.5" ones and the 500gb just came out a while ago, it's like 200 bucks.
not sure if it's an elite... but it was a WD Passport... I went to the Campbell fry's... that place got me so fcking confused and lost... i couldn't find the internal drives... i walk by and find the WD externals sitting there as a display... =/
if its a 500gb passport thats cheap ass hell....320gb still like 100 something retail price. i just highly doubt it though. either it's a 320gb passport or a 500gb 3.5" external i think.
Western Digital 250GB Passport Elite is available at Costco for $100 Essential Passport 250GB is available at Circuit City for $90 Essential or Elite Passport 320GB costs $120 at Circuit City Essential or Elite Passport 320GB costs $116 on Amazon Fry's and Best Buy suck .. all over priced .... Question: What are the differences between the Essential and Elite version??
just build your own one. buy 2.5" hdd and case from computer shop and then just put it together. cant give you a price cause im from AUS.
2.5" internal and external about the same price...probably 5/10 dollar difference. i recomment just getting it readily built.
r u referring to the wd passport though? cuz i can't find the $120 for 500gb you mentioned here. i am sticking with the ready made one .. since most said it's about the same price. thanks though.
