as you can see in the 1st picture, the GTR family IS getting bigger....
and then the 2nd picture you can again compare the width of the 34 and the 35.

Has anyone noticed? seems like all cars are getting bigger and bigger...
small cars like astra's are getting bigger, camry... same story...
and lets not forget the lovely GTR

Just looking at the 35, you duno its so big... but then looking back at the 32...
Doesn't more weight contribute to slower speeds?
if they shrunk teh 35 by 5% and kept the same engine... wouldnt that be better?
I'm just being bored.. so you dont need to take me toooooo seriously... haha -whistle

  2. but it packs a serious hard punch behind the bulk.....

the wider the better... u get better handling properties from a wider vehicle... more room allows for wider tires for better traction/grip controls... in the end, the car doesn't necessarily have to weigh more, technological advances can eliminate a lot of body weight from the car no matter the shape/size... the new GTR just weighs a lot more from new bulkier components necessary to deal with the insane power/torque of the new engine... the brakes alone make the car look HUUUUUUUUGE!!

Wider track = better handling, and may I point out that the 34 is quite a sexy beast!!

mazda is about the only mainstream manufacturer that is making efforts to reduce weight. with the mazda 2 and upcoming mx5 it seems.

I like the R34. It has the best design or look but the R33 has the best performance in grip. R32 is good for drifting.

I admit GTRs a big step in motoring but u gotta also admit that GTR is all electrics man u can stick a guy with no skill in driving and he'd be able to turn like a pro doesnt that defy the point of driving. Its like playing a game on easy mode which is pointless!
