They'll have like wireless speeds of TB or something.. SC in 3 days lol. Funny how the teachers are trying to drill into us that its a serious exam.
I wish I could.. But yeah, personal pride (lol). I'll get laughed and ridiculed by my year co-ordinator cause he's full against selective schools (and I think Asians too).. Not to mention I'll get laughed at by my friends (especially my non asian ones). But yea, I'm not full on studying for SC.. there are people in my grade who started full on studying for it 2 weeks ago. Band 5 and 6's and I'll be happy Depends at how you define fail. It's really hard to even get band 2; You could make decent guesses and still pas (cause BOS "scale" up the marks so you must be extremely dumb or non-serious attempt to get that) yea, at least we only have to go to school for the exam and then go home. It's a pointless test really, but oh well.
Our teacher said we're not allowed to walk out of the exam room, lol. I'll probably get given a N so means I won't get SC lol.
lol, dont even turn up to it , you dont need your SC , just join league of beggers and learn some kung fu yo !
Yea, everyone does in the SC, so the mark you get isn't the actual mark you got. That's why its so hard to get a band 2 (for e.g.).
It's not exactly "scaling" They call it "aligning", and I'm 99.99999 % sure. Your school wouldn't tell you that scaling exists; My school didn't and I heard from a HSC marker (who knows people who mark SC) The scaling bit.. is where they just determine the cut-offs for bands (the SC moderators, or "judges").. say the raw mark is 80/100, that could equate to 90/100 (which is a B6). I just made the numbers up, but each year is different.. (kinda like the HSC) So yeah, if you got a B6, technically you could have gotten like 75/100 (for example) That's why its so hard to get a band 1 (even though 1 or 2 % of the state get it) EDIT: I don't know when they started moderating marks though.
lol exams in a week ! lol scaling........, lol isnt it when if everyone does shit, you get marked up, and if everyone does pretty good, then the marks get marked down or something
