So, there is this girl that caught my eyes for the past 2 months and I think by now she notice.
(Sometime she might look at my way to see if i am checking her out and for sure i know this because if i look at her directly then she would look away)

She's in 2 of my lecs. In one lec, she sits far up to the front (like 2nd row far left) while i sits at the back like 7 or 8 rows away from her (far left too) and quite a lot of ppl in this lec (about 80/100 seats fill up). In the other lec, she used to sit close to the middle front 2nd row but slowly migrated to the 4th row to the right in front of where i sit and about 40/100 seats get fill up.

Just wondering is she giving me the greenlight (looking at my way and sitting near me in one of 2 lecs) to approach her or i am just thinking too much?

If I talk to her, how can i find out she's interested?
Lastly, any good lines to find out if she has a bf w/o making it awkward?

life is short ... just go up and ask her out sincerely .. don't need any opening line or anything. just be yourself and go with your instinct .. whether or not she's interested in you .. you gotta find out .. if you don't ask, you will never know. the worst thing that can happen to you is a no and possibly getting to know a new classmate/friend .. nothing to lose.

if you're really scare of rejection, ask her out for a friendly study date and slowly build up from there .. the important thing is that you gotta make the move. based on the time line you mentioned above .. checking her out for 2 months and not much progress .. obviously, she's the shy type so it's better that you take things slow ..

    hope that helps.

So far I see no lights in this traffic light-bowroflarms-bowroflarms-bowroflarms
Too brief, needs more detail on the situation, she could be sitting next to her friends and move around to another friend

Does it matter whether she's givin u greenlight or redlight? even so, you should approach her!

btw, were you guys talking to each other since she's sittin so close to you? and have it ever occur to you she could "migrate" to a nearer seat in the other lecture?

just go for it before you regret...

  7. clearly if you are given the opportunity..... take it!

You should approach her like you want to make a new friend. Don’t think about other ‘things’ that is not yet happening.

the worst she can do is to turn you down, but if you don`t try you may regret it.

Nope, doesn't seem like she knows anyone in either class.

I guess from the majority advises, I will approach her and be friend :ohnoes: and see how that goes.

Its a greenlight if u see her spread out her legs. Just kidding!!!! i encourage u to approach her slowly. Take small step each time, then BANG!! she is urs.

if that's what ur gonna do... i advise u to stop... u lost all ready...

first off ur thinking too much... honestly... she probably doesn't know u exist... with that said... there's absolutely nothing wrong with approaching her regardless of the current situation... its just ur taking it the wrong way... next lecture, u sit ur ass right next to hers... make her laff/interested and get her number...

but then again, you know there's a green light after the red light. or in other words, if its a 4 way intersection, look @ the other light that is currently green and wait for it to hit yellow then it means it's almost green light(or in my case, you can look @ the crosswalk timer, when it hits 0, it'll hit green light for u)

Based on the short synopsis that you've provided, the simple conclusion is, she's a dedicated student that doesn't want to miss anything of the lecture (or she's either myopic or has a hearing deficit) so she sits closer to the the lecturer. She only changed her seat in the second lecture because of either glare from the sun across the board so she can't see, proximity of a classmate that rarely bathes, or someone else hitting on her that she doesn't want to bother with. She may only be looking at you because of your obvious and glaring lack of fashion sense, and she's hypnotized by your multicolored checkered shirt and striped pants; she's absolutely convinced that you're gay. Moral of this story is, you want so much for these 'signals' to revolve around your world that they've taken on a real significant meaning; well, to you as least. As I stated in the above, it probably has absolutely nothing to do with you, or if it does, it doesn't necessarily have to be good. -roflyawn

On the other hand, what everyone else here has stated thus far has merit. You won't know unless you do it, so just talk to her. The worst that can happen is she tells you she's not interested and gets her steroid loaded football player boyfriend to kick your ass. The best that can happen is you're laying in bed with her naked and curled around you basking in the afterglow, with a half a box of used condoms on the floor...

But, I guarantee that nothing is ever going to happen as long as you keep coming to forums like this talking to us, instead of talking to her.

The moral is, the only traffic lights are out on the street corner. Don't get mesmerized by them. You want the girl, go get her.

tbh i'm always in a different seat for a lecture cos everybody else moves, there is never rele a set seat and sometimes when i arrive on time, there are like no spaces in places where i want to sit. also, just looking at her doesn't mean anything. i see people all the time in lectures. if u like her go sit next to her and start talking to her. then slowly work ur way up.
