I soo didnt know he started acting since he was three...so impressive...^^.. And the award for myolie...was it some 'chu yuk' award for her..?!..there were some people much better dressed than herr.... wayne li has been a consistent good actor for so many years - i always liked his funny personality and his acting skills. i'm so happy he got an award. well deserved award for ha yu as well. funny, great actor. lam fung is currently the "hottest" guy in TVB right now. bobby auyeung consistently performs well, surprised he didnt make it on.
i agree with some of the reults...moonlight was defo the best drama of 2008....i wonder if they are going to make a part 3 to that series
I am just glad that Tavia and Ha Yu got the award that they both deserved!! =) If they didn't, then I really do think TVB is being unfair.
I thought there were two pathetic awards this year- the Most Fashionable Artiste and TVB.com Most Popular Artist. It also seemed like Myolie knew she would win the fashionable award, dressed in a suit. As with that blog award that is so bias-as this goes according to fans votes. Anyway, most of the awards were quite predictable as most were the cast of "Moonlight." This is my view on the results: Best Actor Ha Yu - Well deserved and as I had predicted. Best Actress Michelle Yim - I couldn't ask for anyone because she also deserves this award fair & square. Best Supporting Actor Wayne Lai There were so many nominees listed in this category that I wanted to win- Derek, Johnson and Wayne. So I am very happy that Wayne won and was very touched when he received so many shouts and cheers when all actors/tresses stood up and clapped as he went to get his award. I also liked what he said in the opening- 'Every year I go home 'fruitless' remember me 'fruitless' Lai Yiu Chung'- so true and straight forward. Best Supporting Actress Tavia Yeung Despite knowing Tavia would not get the best actress award she truely deserves to be at least nominated in the 'best actress catergory.' I really want to stress that the nominees that were listed 'best actress' was unfair and so incorrect. How could TVB list Kate Tsui in this category when she is so new and can not act but, it is okay to put Tavia who is pretty, can act and have been in the entertainment much longer than Kate, be placed in the improvement & best supporting actress category after year after year??? I knew Tavia would win this category and I she deserves it. If she didn't win this not only will I be angry but many people would too. Favourite Male Character Raymond Lam As predicted considering he would have no chance in winning the 'best actor' as that has to go to the veteran- Ha Yu. So to be fair Raymond has to win something and this award is fair and good because his character Gum Wing Ho was portrayed well and likable. Favourite Female Character Louise Li Not what I had predicted but, not surprised. I was edging for Liza wang to win this award for - 'Wars of In Laws' but, Louise won so...nothing further to say. Most Improved Male Wong Cho Lam Once again not what I predicted but, no surprise with the outcome. Cho Lam is hilarious and all but, this award isn't right for him. He should really be in the host category or create a category such as "the most entertaining person" because I still think Johnson in 'Catch' or Derek in 'War' would have deserve this award more than Cho Lam. Most Improved Female Nancy Wu Completely off. I didn't even think of Nancy because I was so certain that Selena would win. I like Nancy but, I thought out of the 2008 series Selena performed really well, especially as a guest starring in 'Forensic' as Kat Lee. So I am a little sad that Selena didn't win. Best Drama Moonlight Resonance Why am I not surprised. Lifetime Achievement Award Paul Chun Finally!!! Well and truly deserved! Paul is such a good actor and I have been so angry how TVB have not been giving him any credits or awards what so ever! Each and every character he has done have never disappointed me. Go Paul!
