  4. yea i rememeber this story around the olympics time which certainly brought alot of attention to china. Being a communist state with a billion people they probably have more dirty secrets then anyone else.

anywaysss speaking on the topic of murder, no1 else does it better then america

Numbers of murders (homicides) in Chicago per year:

    • 1990: 851
    • 1991: 927
    • 1992: 943
    • 1993: 931
    • 1994: 929
    • 1995: 827
    • 1996: 789
    • 1997: 759
    • 1998: 704
    • 1999: 641
    • 2000: 628
    • 2001: 666

and we thought our record souring 110's a year in toronto were bad ( thanks to americans bringing guns and their beef up here )

hey now.. dont go blaming it on us.. homicides were around long before guns were invented.

  7. im not blaming u but yes i am blaming u lol its true, guns confiscated in canada are mostly from the united states and them trying to expand their territories up here. You can't just buy a gun and alcohol from walmart over here. Alot of the homicides involves guns thats the reason why it jumped so high.

    gun control = murder control

ms 13 tried to setup bases in toronto and canada that woulda scared the crap outta me more then any other gangs, luckily the rcmp took them down quick.

    yeah, thats true.

Gun control is an issue in the U.S. but its not big enough of an issue to do anything about. Everyone's preoccupied with the downfalling economy and the war and deficit and illegal aliens and all that jazz.

I personally dont see it as an issue only because the area that I live in doesn't have that problem. I understand that it is horrible in other places, but because it doesn't / hasn't affected me on a personal level.. I don't really care.

    ^ wow.. I sound like a bad person ><

  9. gogo rcmp! mounties ftw!

edit: oh damn eri... that's... damn......................

i'm not gonna say what i want to say.

anyways, economy or no economy, developing and reinforcing new laws should still be one of the main priorities of a government.

the ontario government, even though in fucking a shit hole without ANY funds from our federal government atm, is still coming up with new laws to make streets safer.

the province is in a financial turmoil, and yet we still come up with new laws. point is, economy and laws don't correlate.

and the last thing is, just because someone hasn't had a bad experience doesn't mean they should not give a shit about it.

that's true . I will fully agree with what you said.. but I know that I won't take action to really do something about it until it starts happening in my area. I just feel safe where I am and I know I should be more considerate of others, but I can't fit everyone in my universe of obligation.

    wow ... sad story again.

i used to agree that gun control = murder control but that ain't gonna happen especially with the NRA pouring so much money into the political realm these days. might as well get one yourself and put it away for protection. nowadays, gun control = insecurity ...lol

no such thing as the NRA in canada

  13. lol ok, what i don't understand is this:

you buy a gun, hoping to use it as defense.

but when you have to use it one day, the gun goes off for whatever reason, you happen to kill the person, and you get charged for murder. think you would still want to have bought the gun?

people just buy guns for the sake of feeling safe. the fact of having a gun makes them safe. but when it's time to use it, a gun will just fuck your life up.

no .. that's not how it goes buddy. you're only fucked up if you're poor and have a criminal records. abiding citizens like myself do NOT go and shoot like those crazy people. we only used it as a last resort on intruders. but i guess ya'll chinese, perhaps a gun or a broom may just be as deadly .. who know .. you might just do some kung fu kick ass shit .. lol

in fact there was a case in california somewhere where a chinese man was shot by the police cuz he was holding a broom and they thoughts it was a deadly weapon and in retaliation open fire. they thought he knew kung fu and their life was in jeopardy ... lol believe it or not, it's REAL.

    here's the case:

circuit. U.S. District Court, Northern District, (2003) WU, et al. v. CITY OF ROHNERT PARK, et al. 3:98-CV-00387-TEH: An Asian man holding a broom stick was shot and killed by Rohnert Park Police. Officers said he held the stick in a "martial arts" fashion. This was a highly publicized case in the Asian community. Case settled $1 million. U.S. District Court, Northern District (2002)

It's people like these that make the Chinese community look bad

  18. lol negiq dude.. i'm from the same country you from k... i ain't chinese

and the man with the broom is totally irrelevant.. what i'm saying is why have a gun at all? shit if some thief breaks into my house, i wouldn't risk my family's safety by having a fucking gun fight.... i'd follow what the dude wants, give em what they want, have em leave, and end there.

by having a gun, you just gonna risk the life of other people in your house man...

lol .. the broom was like a joke but it did happen in real life too.

as for the gun, i want it for protection regardless if it'll be helpful to me or not when the situation call for it. if i was in the situation you described above, i would probably handle it differently pending on the real condition.

why? my best friend's family was destroyed by a burglary - 3 black thieves broke into his home. his 2 sisters were raped and 2 brothers and parents were all killed in front of him. they have no money; just recent immigrants earning minimum wages. my uncle and aunt were killed trying protect their 8 years old daughter because of burglary. my cousin was stabbed to death walking in on robbery of his home 5 minute from his college campus. my old neighbor was washing his car in broad daylight but a black man came up to him with a gun and forced him into the house. after finding nothing, the robber shot him in the leg and arm before leaving with a few hundred worth of stuffs.

guns are easily accessible and there aren't enough police to protect the community due to budget cut regardless of good or bad neighborhood. crimes spread across the city so the best way is to learn to protect yourself and family at all cause.
