OneCare, the MS antivirus and security debacle better known as NoOneCares
is being finally put out of its misery:

In a rush? For a quick synopsis, just read the red highlighted lines.

In a previous but related story:

Microsoft continues to live up to its reputation of being one of the most easily penetrated systems ever designed.

Microsoft should really stick to what they do best.. Arguably.. making OS.

But still, their venture into the MP3 market is quite good.

One would assume since it's their os, they would know how to best protect it with Onecare.

bill doesn't even work there anymore, he's out and about giving money to charity. anyway the reason why micrsoft are offering it for free will be cos it can't compete with the best ones out there cos they are new and so therefore by charging it will just be ridiculous. however, this way people will get it as they slowly improve and try to catch up with the others, once it becomes gd, they hope that the customers who got the free version will then be willing to pay for the full version.
