Water fountain shows have always been a big draw for people. Whether you are taking a moment to enjoy the world famous Bellagio fountain show or the smaller, but still amazing, Tianyi Square show in Ningbo, China, you are likely to enjoy the overall experience. Yang, a 19 year-old college student, had a very different experience. In August of 2007, Yang was at a local center square in the Henan Province of China. She went with some friends to enjoy the day and see the musical water fountain show. Yang and her friends were playing in the water fountain area and enjoying the light burst of water that would spray them. All of a sudden, while Yang was struck by a powerful burst of water that threw her into the air. After the fall, Yang experienced extreme stomach pains and was bleeding badly. She was immediately taken to the hospital to undergo medical care. The doctor said that the fountains water pressure had torn her vagina and damaged her intestines. During the following 7 months, Yang received 3 surgeries to repair the damage, which left her some pretty bad scars. And what do they mean with: *all of a sudden she got hit by a powerful burst of water*, use some common sense. How can the water spray so high?, cause they are making use of some high pressure? -noclue But on the other side, I can’t blame her playing in there, cause its damn temping. Bad luck....
No, luck had nothing to do with it. It was more monumental stupidity for stepping directly into a high pressure focused water stream. That's why they use water cannons for riot control, because a focused water stream can knock people off their feet (...Yang was struck by a powerful burst of water that threw her into the air). She might be able to sue the park or the fountain for not providing safety notices, or rails to prevent people from entering the fountain (as in the US with pressurized liquid displays like this), but most of it was her own fault (ie there are no such things as accidents, only lack of forethought). The force of water on her crotch would probably be in excess of someone kicking her there multiple times. It's a wonder that she wasn't killed. Take a look at the water stream in the picture and tell me that anyone here would be stupid enough to put their ass on that... -rolleyes Morale here is, don't ever make assumptions on the safety of anything unless you're dead certain, otherwise you may wind up certain to be dead. -noclue I really feel sorry for the girl; she's only 19, probably never even had kids, and she's potentially facing a lifetime of progressive internal scarring called adhesions (which require repeated surgeries to correct). And just look at her, she would never go to the beach again, and it would take a really emotionally resilient or mentally deranged, or blind partner to be able to make love to something that looked like that. :ugh: This one falls into the category of STUPID HUMAN TRICKS [1] [2] [3] [4]
oh shiet that's gota hurt but ure not supposed to play with the fountains anyway -.- with a spectacular display like that it doesnt take much to know that the fountains are powerful -.-
I think some ppl already said what I am about to say ... feel sorry for her but she was partly responsible for the injuries. Had she not play in the water, you wouldn't have needed to be in such stage. Although the judgment seems like chump change, it's better than nothing. She put herself there. I wonder if the owner put signs out to keep folks from playing in the water. I hate to see kids getting hurt cuz they will jump into the fountain in a heart beat.
at least she knows it .. she had single-handedly destroy her own future ... her own decision to play in the fountain and thus bear the consequences. lesson to be learned .. a bad judgment can carry irreversible damages .. so always good to think before you act. just cuz others are doing so, you go and follow along thinking it's safe too. 19 is young but not that young to be stupid.
can u imagine if it was a guy that got shot in the nads? omg... forget surgery... ur twig and berries are long gone...
