i honestly don't see where u can argue about "too many bad teams"... u just went off on half the afc division... and they're the contenders... may i remind u that last year's Superbowl winners beat the elite of the elite... and they were wild card 9-6... which would be a "bad team" right? a season full of equal teams is far more exciting then a season with a few elites... the best game all of last season was the Superbowl game... not when the Patriots dropped 30pts on everyone for 19weeks... maybe... just maybe... they're not weak... they're just similar in strength... and the Giants and the Titans are just better...
Here we go again... You mean 10-6 for the Giants last year right? And went 7-1 on the road for the Giants in the ultra competitive NFC East last season? When did I say the Giants was a bad team last year? Huh? When did I even argue about last season except for the fact that last season NFL is better this year NFL. Full of equal teams can imply either too many good teams out there, or too many bad teams out there. This season it's the latter. Look at how pathetic the AFC West and NFC West this year? Look at how flawed those teams in the NFC South and the AFC East even though all the teams have a record .500 and above? The mediocre NFC North, and the disappointment in AFC North (Browns) and South (Jags, and Colts too). How is the Titans better when they got thrashed by the Jets and played nobody on the schedule except for a fluke 3 points win over the Ravens and a Colts team's struggling with tons of injuries and not the same old Colts? They have the easiest schedule out of all NFL teams! The Giants might have lost to the lowly Browns but at least they have quality wins after quality wins (2x Redskins, Cowboys, Steelers, Eagles, Ravens, etc) even missing Jacobs for a game (Cardinals) and Burress for the majority of the season for some idiotic decisions. No elite team might be good for some people in the regular season, but comes playoff time? :sleep:
u do realize at the current rate, there's still plenty of teams that are gonna be 10-6 in the AFC... including indy and denver who can easily pull out 11-5... especially indy who's been hot 5 straight... and u do realize ur being overly hypocritical when it comes to the afc and the nfc... cuz if ur gonna argue for a weaker set of teams this year rather then equally strong teams based on the afc being fcked up... then rly besides the Giants, only the Bucs are contenders... Philly ain't going newhere with McNabb, Washington's too inconsistent, and Dallas is a 6-10 team w/o Romo... Arizona's not getting homefield in the playoffs and the Panthers just have an ez schedule... the Jets and Titans are elite teams... the Titans are a strong defensive team in the league... it doesn't matter the schedule... bulluk and haynesworth are beasts... and the Jets w/ Favre behind that solid oline will always have a chance... and honestly... What does having teams going 10-6 has to do with the strength of the conference? The conference can have a bunch of crappy teams and a few of them can emerge 10-6 or better. While the collective AFC went 21-24 against the NFC, all the fuk up can be pointed to NFC West for being so lousy. And how am I hypocritical? I said NFL as a whole is weaker than years past, and that's including the NFC. When you have only one legitimate elite team (Giants) who's missing key players like Osi, Burress, Gibril Wilson (to free agency), Strahans (to retirement), and Shockey (to trade) from last season, and still manage to look infinitely better than all other teams, that's pretty a sad state for the NFL. The NFC South (as well as the NFC East) has all teams at or over .500, I don't know why the heck you think they are bad when they go 10-3 collectively against the AFC and 14-5 against NFC outside of their division. Philly is a fuk up because of Andy Reid's decision-making, not because of McNabb who is still one of the top QB in the game. He only had one impact receiver, and that's TO for a year and a half. You should have check to see what garbages he's been throwing to in his career. As for Washington, they are inconsistent, but have potential. Which is still better than most of the teams in AFC. In Dallas, Romo is back and they are putting up 30+ points a game, as much as I hate them. So Cowboys being a 6-10 team without Romo is irrelevant, especially consider who's their backup QB is (Brad "no arm" Johnson). Arizona is crap with their D and benefit from a weak NFC West, so they aren't good. But if they can get a running game from somewhere, which Warners and his 300+ yards a game, they can be a force. And puh-leeze. If you say Panther has an easy schedule, please take a look at the teams in the AFC, especially the Titans and the Broncos (easiest schedule) and the entire mediocre AFC East (Each team's playing 4 times against the NFC West). Shut down the Titans' rushing game, they can't score points. If you have a decent passing game, you can beat the Jets. Not to mention they have a QB with the most picks in NFL history. The Patriots are a joke with their pathetic schedule (NFC West 3, and they still manage to lose games. They are not the Pats of old. And look @ Indy? Their patch-work of a defense is doing pretty good, but their offense suck. They can no longer put up 30 points each games and need opportuntistic mistake from their opponents to win games. The 5 straight winning streaks, they win by less than 7 points each game. These games can go either way. As for the Falcons, if you really think Turner is the only reason why they have the season they have, you are as clueless as ever. The defense, while giving up plenty of yards, are pretty good in run prevention (8th in the league). And it's funny you dissed Ryan. Most rookie QBs don't do well at all and he only has one good receiver (Roddy White). If he didn't do what he did this season, teams will put 8 men in the box and focus on stopping the run. Not to mention he has a knack of winning ball games near the end of the games. Projected to go for 3.5k yards, have a 2:1 TD:INT ratio, completed over 60% of the passes, and ranked 8th in QB rating out of all starting QBs is not just "competent." Not to be mean, but if you think the AFC is better than the NFC... Hm... I don't know what to say. Frankly, I'm speechless just thinking about that. P.S. As for your pick, unless either the Cowboys/Panthers/Bucs blows up in the NFC side and the Jets/Colts/Raven/Steelers on the AFC side, and then the playoff where they will face tougher opposition, a Falcons-Dolphins SB game is pretty much impossible.

I have a big feeling the AFC will be won by Miami. They are the surprising team in perhaps the hardest division in NFL this year. I dont feel that the Colts will make it far, and the Titans struggle if they cant run the ball. It will be a battle between San Diego and Miami. Thats my pick.
giants are a very organized team and all the players work well together but in the end its all about the weapons who make a difference. The giants will miss the idiot who shot himself in the leg, opposing teams will stuff the run game and challenge the passing game. Some teams who are very good against the run to begin with might even drop back and play the pass. I think giants will make the superbowl but lose...at best.
