For Xmas I was thinking of giving my boyfriend Rockband 2 [Special Edition] which includes the guitar, drums, and microphone or giving him a USB Turntable. For Rockband 2, I wanted to give him that so he can have fun on his PS3 in his spare time and his family can join in too since it has the drums and microphone. As for the USB Turntable, he really enjoys listening to techno/trance music and I believe he wouldn't mind making his own beats for songs since sometimes I would see him changing the beats of songs for fun. However I can't decide on which one and of course I can't ask him because that will ruin the surprise. Can I get any suggestions? Also if any of you choose the USB Turntable, any good recommendations as of brand that is? Thanks a lot!
it really depends if he's more of a gamer or music person. I mean, if he's not that into making music, the turntable is just going to sit around collecting dust after a few weeks. I wouldn't mind the more expensive gift though <_<
He enjoys listening to music a bit more than playing on his PS3, he does play his game Fracture like about once a day or so, but listening to music probably most of the time.
He will be happy for whatever he get from u. If he is into music more than game, then buy the turntable. I wish my gf can give me something nice, but the chance is very slim.
Yeah that's true! Like this reminds me of the game Fracture he wanted, when he saw how it was really good in the graphics area he went and bought the game. However a while ago when I was at his house when he saw the commercial for Rockband 2, he did mention to his brother, "Hey I should get that". That was it.
i heard fracture sucks ass, i don't know anybody who has a ps3 and wouldn't enjoy rockband lol, either gift would be ballin. you can also get him guitar hero world tour since its a pretty hot game right now, though i heard rockband 2 is better. he didn't get it maybe cause its too freaking expensive lol.
Actually if he would have gotten the guitar stand along it isn't expensive, but maybe it didn't interest him enough for him to get it? I have no idea. Also if I was going to get a usb turntable? well, i have absolutely no experience with usb turntables, so sorry can't help you here. you can try looking around in music forums if anything though.
WTF a tub of ky WTF for turntables i've found the Stanton brands to be exceptional good.
