Age difference

I know there's alot of these threads but none have really answered this question. It's mostly the age difference between a girl and an older guy..
But what if its a guy and an older female?

Im a 20 year old guy and i like a girl but she's older than me by 3 years.
Do i have a chance? lol

 

Yes, you have a chance. 3 years is not too big a difference at all. I have a good friend who is married to someone 4 years her junior and they have 3 lovely kids.

 

u wouldnt stand a chance if the girl was me unless ud be SUPER mature n i wouldnt notice n ud have to lie...

i used to like a girl 3/4 years older than me, in the end i just decided not to continue liking her
i think it was the right decision ;p

if you're both mature about it, and accept the difference then i don't see an issue... especially if you're 20, i'm sure you can make your own decisions at that age ...

 

i know this doesn't apply to everyone..but they always say girls mature before guys??
so if the girl's 23 and the guys 20..will the guy be mature enough for the girl??

but everyone's different, so to each his own..i know of successful relationships of great age differences..

my godmother is 11 years older than my godfather..*haha*..

so i think 3 years..is ok..but again..depends on individual prefs..^^

 

so i guess it all comes down to maturity and the people in the end.. well that's what everyone is suggesting.

 

3 years is nothing. My own bf is older than me by 3 years. But for girls, they tend to mature faster than guys, but mainly during the teen years. During the 20's, I think guys would've caught up by then, maybe.... hehe... So you are 20 and she's 23. I think that's fine. It's not a huge gap and it's not like she would be a lot more mature than you by a wide margin. But then again, it depends on each individual, so use your own judgment.

 

You don't know if you have the chance unless she tells you or you know if she will or not. Most girls feel secure when they date older men or men who are the same age, at least. I know I wont date a guy younger than me by three years; and most of the girls including my friends wont either. Again, the only way to find out for yourself is either confront her or secretly ask her obscure questions about that.

You make me laugh! Age doesnt mean anything in love! My current GF didnt want anything to happen with me and her because she had the same thourghts as you! She also believed that because I was younger, I was after just one thing!

But after two dates she realised I was for real!!! 6 months on and all is going strong!!!

Your statement maybe real in your head, but seriously, I a younger guy chased you, made you heart feel warm, knees go weak and made you HAPPY! You'd give him a chance...

 

as long as you are both in the same stage of life if u know what i mean. it would make it easier, like if you are still partying and going out a lot and shes more settled down then it would make it harder.

 

girls are usually more mature in term of development since they attain their puberty earlier in life... but it really all depends. some girls wouldn't mind but some would.but then since it's girls as long as u do something that touches their heart.. nth would matter

 

makes me sad... lol i liked this girl that was about 3 years older than me, but i never made the move even when we did get close... i think she was into me as well but seeing as i didn't make a move faster... it made her lose interest... oh wells my mistake..

Also it depends on how traditional the girl is.

If the girl is very traditional than probebly not. If the girl is more liberal, than probebly no probs (with the age thing) at all
