Okay, well I want to burn more than 1 film onto a dvd-5 disc. As it saves me alot of dvd disks.
I have got ConvertXtoDVD at the moment and I have used this previously to burn just one film. - But this time i want to burn more than one.

For example, I downloaded My Wife Is A Gambling Moestro and Hit Team and I want to put them onto one dvd disk..
But it says it will take 3hrs and 12mins to burn 2 movies?? I'm not sure if this is right...

Also just wondering how many films can you fit onto a dvd? ... or how many films do you guys put on? And is the quality watchable that you don't really notice it?

'Cos I downloaded Hulk [800mb/avi/2hrs12min] and Incredible Hulk [701mb/avi/1hr47min] and want to put them two onto a dvd.
But when I add those two movies using ConvertXtoDVD program, at the bottom it says 5.15GB : so the file is too big to fit onto a dvd-5.
But on the folder itself.. where I put those two movies onto a folder - it's only 1.46GB though... ?

Is there a way that I can fit them both onto a dvd by any chance?
A really basic simple program... like ConvertXtoDVD where you just add the video file and lets it do its job. Simple and basic enough for me! ~

Software I got: DVDShrink, Nero (8), winAVI.

    Thanks Very much!

Reduce the quality that you want it to be encoded at. That should allow you to burn both, however if the movies you downloaded are DVDRips then I wouldn't suggest burning both. Or you could re-encode the movies to make it smaller, say 500-600 mb per movie.

its quite easy you just select avi -> DVD, select the quality and order you want the files to appear in the menu -> wait about 1 hr for it to complete convert.

open nero make a dvd-video, insert the files in the video_TS folder and click burn

yeh.. i know this way.. but the only problem is that it wont burn the subtitle files. it will burn .srt but not the chinese subs [idx and sub[ files.thats why i use convertxtodvd to burn these sub files.

Few thing you need to remember, DVD-R = 4,706,074,624 bytes ( 4488 MB ) (you probably know)

So basically you want your movie Avi format turn into DVD. Perhaps your Hulk [800mb/avi/2hrs12min] have been converted up to more than 3GB++. that leave your dvd have less than 1GB.

****it not worth it to waste your time to put 2 DVD format movie into 1 dvd. czu it can't fit. ****

*** secondly dvd is less than a 25cent per dvd***

    bbes Incredible

what u need to do is to hardsub it, then use winavi to convert or i guess u can use ur convertxtodvd and don't burn it onto a disc. then use dvdshrink to shrink the film up so that u can then fit it onto one disc. its just convertxtodvd is slower at converting than winavi.

dvd size is 4.7GB but when using nero, that ends up around 4.4GB...

when you have dvd movies, of course u would get the dvd rips in either 700mb or 1.4GB sizes, therefore that is how i get 6x700MB in single layer dvd.

i got my newest batch at 15 cents each =)

I burn 4-5 movies (1.5 hours average) with a very satisfying result using ConvertXtoDVD 3.2.1.55.
perhaps you should find newer version of this software. try google it.
the average time i used is 2-3 hours.
the conversion speed also depends on your computer specification.

Not to mention that you need to have a burner that does dual layer.

Go and buy a dvd player that can play .avi files. They cost less than $50 on buy.com the last time I check. You can put lot of movies on a DVD if your dvd player support .avi files. Save you the extra time of converting, its worth it.

DL has highly failure rate then single and you don't know if your dvd player can play DL disk.
