Walking really fast for 30min/ 1 hr every day ( could be spaced out i.e walking to work and back home), no carbs in the evening (after 6pm), stock up on veg, fruit and protein ( chicken, tuna etc) and drink plenty of water.
So I've been trying to lose weight for about4 months now. I love food so I haven't eaten much less, but I have cut the calories. So replacing food with healthier choices like cereal instead of eggs and bacon for breakfast. And lots of salad for lunch. And cutting back in my mindless snacking of chips. I've also been going to excercise classes like dance classes. I notice that after one of my more weight bearing classes I started to bulk up so I"m getting rid of that class. So a few months later yes my waist has slimmed a little BUT my weight has rocketed Way up (muscle mass). Any recommendations for excercises that dont kill your weight?
are you a girl or a guy ? if you are a girl go to those aerobic classes, go a lot of times, once every month or every 2 weeks doesnt do anything for both do a lot of jogging, biking or swimming, at least 15min every day, your body starts to burn the fat after 10-12min so past this delay the longer you keep going the more fat you burn jogging is less recommended because you can hurt your knees if you do too much and if you don't know the right movement but it's the easiest to do if you can swim its the best choice. for running, if you are a beginner starts with 10min every day then increase by 1min every week you need to be able to run for 1 hour at least once every week then 20-25min every day is enought good luck, cardio training is the hardest
hum after some thinking it might be too much for you to go jogging every day lol lets say 15min of running every 2 or 3 days and also those training: for abs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vbv6-hL-608 for buns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnBhn7YSsnM do that everyday, its safe and it help burns the fat everyday u spend 8min for abs, 8min for buns and 15min once every 2 days jogging
CARDIO, PILATES, CRUNCHES......no weight lifting, eat less protein maybe? although that may not be healthy.
actually for a while I was eating vegetarian, and i noticed a did lose some weight. But i'm not a a veggie, so . .. .. and it's impossible to eat like that now that I eat with others in the house now who can never go without meat in a meal. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and your avatar pic is still disturbing to me
yoga, tai chi, swimming, drink lots of water, drink green tea (green tea helps to reduce the waist line)...
i would still do some weight training... unless ur like uber uber skinny... w/o some weight training u'll experience uber flabbyness... like around ur tricep area... i mean... could u imagine while ur trying to flag down some guys by waving at them and ur flabby underarms are wiggling around >< turns me off...
^agreed. do both cardio and resistance training. you shouldnt look at losing body weight, but instead body fat. dont know why some of these clowns are telling you to not do resistance training. it'll help you lose weight and tone up the muscles. keep weights low and high reps. and no, jogging isn't the easiest to do. swimming is easier because it's a lesser weight bearing activity but if you too big, swimming would be the better choice for your joints. biking is probably the easiest to do. so put yourself in the category your most comfy with. and stick away from the carbs before you exercise because that'll delay you from burning fat quicker.
NO WEIGHT TRAINING, that's like how i bulked up in muscle weight, this is what i'm trying to avoid. And wouldn't resistant training be about the same?
low resistance means lifting like 5lb weights... low weight high reps or low resistance like steve suggested is not meant to bulk up ur body, rather to increase endurance... so in the end, although u'll gain a bit of muscle, it will help u burn weight faster and u will look better... that's if u go through with it till the end... u won't look like Miss Amazonian... u'll also age a lot better this way... the problem sounds like ur doing very high resistance training if ur bulking up rather than slimming down... honestly in four months time, it's hard to believe ur weight skyrocketed from muscle mass from just changing ur diet slowly... even for athletes, 1lb of muscle mass a week is a luxury =/
I agree with what a lot of ppl mention above, but its also what you eat that determine how you are. You mentioned you replaced the egg and bacon to cereal. What kind of cereal and milk do you use? I would recommend eating oatmeal. its just naturally good for you. You also don't want to starve yourself when you are hungry, your body would store more fat because you aren't eating and it slows down your metabolism. Eat small and healthy, like a handful of nuts or a shake, it will naturall boost ur metabolism. Tuna is a good diet choice because it doesn't contain fat/carbs. Try eating a small can before you go to bed. This way your metabolism will still be working while you sleep and you don't have to worry about fat/carb because it doesn't have any. Breakfast should be the only decent meal you need, everything else should be small. For exercise, it really depends on what you have time to do. It you are really dedicated, you should perform it in the morning before breakfast. This is because you dont have anything in your body, so it start burning muscles and then fats. If you've been working out for the past 4 months, i will start doing cardio for 1 hr and 30-60 mins of weight training. Swimming and running is the best but if u hate it try walking on the treadmill. Have it on a really high incline and walk like a pretty fast pace. Make sure you don't put ur hands on the treadmill, its cheating! If you just walk and swing ur hands, u'll definitely feel the burn. Well if you need more help feel free to message me because i probably won't be coming back to this thread.
the 8 mins abs and buns workout that i posted above are good exercice to burn the fat and make that body part harder
