Find out at Speedtest.net My best is 25,315 kbps download, up 493 kbps, ping 10 ms, faster than 86% of all internet connections across the world. Location: New York. Standard Time Warner Cable Internet home connection for USD $49 -sweat This is a good site to keep checking your stats to see if there are periodic outages. What's your stats?
^ lol psyduck is right.. depending on the internet package you purchased from your ISP, it could range theoretically from 512kbs to 16mbs speed.... edit: anyways my results 81% better than anywhere in the world and 20-30% more than anywhere in ontario not bad...
You have to compare it with what everyone else in your area is getting. On the top are three tabs: My Results - My Summary - Global Stats You should check both the first two tabs to give you a general idea of how your results fare compared to your peers. The third tab will reveal what everyone else around the world is getting on average. You can also look up the stats for other German cities too. Another thing that is important is to look at the distance. If your server is far away (measured in miles) then your speed is going to suck. I test my speed with the New York server and it was great. When I chose the San Francisco server and tested again, I got maybe only a quarter of the speed. -cool2
I wish I can show what I got at school lol Home: faster then 86% of the global connection 87% country ranking.
60AUD cable with 12 gig dl for day and 24 gig dl off peak I feel scammed 53% for global and 38% for country....
How much are you paying for that? I'm using the cheap rogers one. My speeds are so embarrassingly slow lol.
about mid 40-ish.... 48 after 15% percent off if i'm not mistaken. and also, it depends in your area. if it's in northern markham, or north of that, tough luck. what's your speeds lol
got 10 mb/s for 40 bucks a month for 6 months and then it will be back to 5 mb/s once the promotion is over
thats crazy speed, i thouht everyone in the US bitched about having shitty internets... your upload is terrible, but almost 30 mb/s DL is insanity... you could download some pretty huge amounts of porn in a pretty little amount of time with that
At peak time with a housemate using Torrent. Have another go tonight when I am the only one in the house using the net. Speed is on Virgin 20MB Unlimited (FUP) for 32Pounds (incl. Telephoneline, TV and Cable Broadband) With this results: Faster than 88% (global) Faster than 96% (country)
Just did it again this morning: -cool The Upload speed is more or less what they advertise. The DL speeds seem to do very well in the mid mornings. And yeah, I do anywhere from 200-300 GBs of DL per month (not pr0n, mind you) of movies, games, ebooks, etc.
