    ur comparing 2 completely different fones -.-;

ones a camerafone heavyweight and the other's a portable media hub which just happens to sport an 8mp camera...

it should come down to whether or not ur actually gonna USE all the features of the LG, and would the battery life suffice for your usage...

if u much rather have a tried and true camerafone, get the SE... if ur a multimedia whore get the LG... simple...

i've had samsungs, nokias and SEs but always kind of ignored LG, i've heard they're a bit crap, but obviously wouldn't know for sure because i never actually owned one, but still they remain quite a popular brand. as for me i own SE c902, i know its a different one from the one that you are on about but just thought you might like to know i couldn't be happier with my phone.

    LG Renoir v SOny Ericsson

I have the same query too about both these phones.

However, I currently have the Sony Ericsson's K850i and have just this hour ordered the LG renoir.

So Ill test the renoir and all its functions and compare it to Sony Ericsson's quality and get back to you.

in terms of design, SE has a more slim and and betta grip. and also depending on where you're in the country and if u decide to buy phone or not, there may not be a warranty on the LG phones since their from korea. SE tends to give a one year manufacturer just to be safe. but final decisions on u.

I will go with the SE as well. Does look to have a better specs and i still like conventional slider design, with actual keypad more. Touch Screens does need some time to get used to though.

I was looking into getting a C905 in HK, but then after searching around on phone forums,
I'd come to realise that the C905 i very vulnerable to break down. (software and hardware wise)
more than 3 people have complained that their C905 have broken down more that twice in the first month.
not too sure about the LG though.

price wise, the LG is a grab...

but i think I'll still get teh SE. Wait for the firmware upgrades -innocent2

How the LG is going so far

Received the LG Renoir yesterday. I have always been a loyal SOny Ericsson mobile owner, so this was a test.

Although I havent fully explored in depth, all of the apps, functions and features: here is what I think so far...

    Cons:
Scrolling takes a lot more force than the iPhone and the touch screen likewise. However it isnt impossible or too annoying.

On the internet, touching small links can be difficult, and sometimes the screen's only response is to vibrate without connecting.

Scroll bar at the left of the screen is very thin and I find it difficult to scroll with unless I use the tip of my nail.

Even with Dolby mobile, the sound (at full volume) is not as loud as my Sony Ericsson K850i which surprised me. Its not far off but there is a clear difference.

    Pros:
Widgets and applications are good as you are able to create a direct link form your home screen. Internet is quite prompt.

There are many similarities to the iphone.

Texting is fine using both keyboards.

    Internet window is large.

I am particulary picky about the camera and I found it to be good. Even the largely criticised Xenon flash worked OK in a pitch black room (had a slighly blue tinge though occasionally).

ANYWAY I am still messing about with it, so if I find anything else which is good, or not, ill post again.
