Hi all, I've been recently encountering a problem when I'm using Winavi: it doesn't covert my rm files completely. For example, I was converting Episode 2 of Blade Heart into kvcd. The entire file was converted perfectly until the end of the episode. Winavi stopped converting the file a couple minutes before the show ended and finished the file and created a new file for episode 3. There weren't any error messages either! Also, I think it is random because episode 3 was fine. I used both Winavi 7.7 and 8.0 and both came up with the same result. Help please! *****also, i've noticed that most (if not all) the files that have this problem are DDL files from MU
the file itself is not fully complete, that will happen, i have used winavi ever since version 6.7, never had issues
what newaznsensation said, happens to me all the time too. that'y why i've stopped using it and switched to TMPGEnc Express ^__^
it might be episode 2 that giving that problem since you said ep 3 has no problem the file must be short or it corrupted at the end of the file. I used winavi to convert all my video files never had a problem.
i actually use MeGUI for my main encoding of tv shows and TMPGEnc Express for little clips. I could care less about rmvb support since it kills video quality so i never use it haha >.<
The problem might be the original rm file. Try playing the rm file and seeking to near the end, i find if the file is corrupted it just keeps seeking.
1st: What version is your Real Player (i think 10 or below or 9 or below) 2nd: Are you playing any media while converting with "video preview" on winavi, if you do, then the media and winavi will have conflict and not convert **Turn off preview recommended** 3rd: re-check your settings cuz i use 8.0 and it works perfectly, rm, rmvb, flv, mpeg, avi etc, everything converts well

do ppl just like to avoid and not find out why and just switch to other applications? if you are having issues, i suggest you do harsh check on the files before completing them if you are using torrents, also there are RM DLLs you need to put into a folder in order to "finish" converting on certain "sensitive" files... when you switched over, when it comes to newer version, does that same program allow you to convert other newer formats and let you create a dvd menu? by far winavi gives me the fastest result in converting 5x 45 mins video in < 30 mins.
Alternatively, you can try "Ultra Rm Converter", which converts all RM files into various kinds of format, including DVD files, .avi files, etc... You can go visit their website at http://www.aone-soft.com/rmconverter.htm. If you want, I can also provide you with the serial code so that you can register your copy to full version without any limitations when you use it. Or else, it will only converts 50% of you file when you are not registered (i.e free trial). It is a pretty good software and I haven't encounter any problems yet.
