http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3mXZazm6Zw anyone have this...looks like the perfect thing to play digital content but too bad no rmvb support haha...also plays stuff ps3 can't play (at least without converting) also saw it for like 75 bucks or so (or 100). supports ntfs so more convenient to play those files over 4gb (its billed as an HD player also so files are like twice that anyways). i already got a cheap ass chinese one that does rmvb but curious on this one as it looks pretty cool and pretty packed with features. i know streaming content better...blah blah blah but for the lazy people like me haha this can be a blessing.
kung kung....why dun you just get that PlayTv thingy...so you can use your ps3 and record things...??
record tv? lol why would i do that, i only have 40gigs and besides i've never heard of that probably only in the UK,

^ -innocent...!!... but if ya do want one...i'll consider it okies.....but whut do i get for helping kung kung gah...!??...:kekekegay:
i heard of it.. people saying can stream most of the files in 1080p format or something like that.. and you can get it at Best Buy for $100 edit: 4.6/5.0 on reviews from 41 reviewers... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8993217&st=wd&lp=44&type=product&cp=1&id=1218008588808 right now its $130.. sometime it is $100
u get & -hug but it won't work in US anyways....we don't have the right signal so it would be a worthless brick here lol. 100% Sneakernet so no streaming through networks if thats what you mean
Not many people use rmvb, only the chinese community uses it. Most people are turning to MKV h.264 because of HD contents. WD media player support a lot of formats, doesn't stream off the network so you can only play files off usb drives. It's a okay player since it lacks network connection.
pshh, i have no need for this. I have my computer plugged into my HDTV anyways so I don't need to stream anything haha.
no try to play a MKV file from computer output to your HDTV and reading the files from this converter, is a whole lot better quality, not unless you have Optical Output on the sound on the computer, you won't get the 5.1 sound from the video if played over the computer
I do own 1 of the W/Digital Media Player. It could play most format. What we need to do is convert them to other readable format. Just, RMVB format to other format will make the video quality getting poorer. :(
