ok guys, im gona buy another monitor, i currently got a LINK and im gona get LINK tomorrow so i can multitask cus the lack of space is getting real silly at the mo. How on earth do you do it though, how do you connect it, this is my GPU LINK. thanks.
oh shit is that stacy on one of the monitors? WIN! anyways i think you should have two vga/dvi outputs in your graphics card and just go to the display settings and set for dual display? i think i saw the option there
just hope that your drivers aren't as fault as mine... my HD4850 can't do 2 monitor anymore.. lolz you configure it at ATI CCC
yep. that is the way to do it. but some laptop dont support it. like my old dell. I use this type of conf for my unix/pc stations as well. It is a nice read
ehh.. i coulda got hd4870.. but don't wanna waste huge amount fo money a video card.. hd4870 was $225 and hd4850 was $135.. so i went and grab the hd4850 instead this card is good enough for gaming.. only has problem if i use 2 montior.. right now i believe is my OS problem, i reinstalled the computer and now it has problems :tear:
^ yaa the one you got is good enough tbh, hopefully drivers will come out for you, with Vista i dont update my drivers, i just use the ATI drivers that vista installs lest i feel the wrath of vista incompatability.
... it wasn't cheap-.- i might even call the freaking manufacture for my warranty stupid card seems to either overheat or my motherboard isn't working well.
i ordered my monitor yesterday and i got it today, everything is working perfectly, maybe you need to check to see if the leads are connected tight enough or something, and of course, do it though CCC
not the connection problem, just the card overheating itself when plugged in even at 100% fan speed or something like that -unsure its probably my motherboard problem though since i didn't install the PCI-e drivers yet
4870 uses gddr5 thou not really, i went from 1x 17" --> 2x 17" --> 2x 19" --> 2x 22" + 1x 19" and back to single 22", just slight time used to adjust... if you don't have a video card that has a second output, no worries, use the evga device i mentioned in this post
