depends if your lazy.. lol.. and where you drive also.. if you have too much traffic where you live, automatic is better but if your place is less traffic, drive manual, much better? x.X
Get a standard! lol More control over power and looks cool. lol. Also it depends which car your looking at, some cars only come with auto, and some cars only come with manual, then there's the paddle shifter which is basically an auto but you get to control the shift points. You'll get use to driving stick in rush hour. Once you get use to driving it, rush hour traffic wouldn't be a problem. I use to complain about stop and go, stop and go, but not anymore. You'll get use to it.
it just depends on your needs, i drive a manual but sometimes i wish i was in an auto when im stuck in traffic
Automatic all the way! Why do it the hard way if it can be done the easy way ? One drawback is that you better have a big pocket if a fully automatic gearbox breaks down. I'm lucky enough to have an automatic where the gearbox is similar to a manual gearbox, but the clutch is driven by servo motors.
its not abt easy vs hard... its abt the enjoyment and control =) if u can't drive manual... u'll never really understand how to really drive a car =) once u've figured it out, theres no issues with driving a auto later but it still depends on the auto box... latest technology makes such a big difference =( auto shifts quicker dammit lol
^ i agreeee...plus when you drive manual when you change gears makes ya feel like a formula 1 driver :kekekegay:... plus if you have a manual driving license you can drive auto anyways but auto license cant drive manual cars... auto cars are for ubbbber lazy/old people...-tongue2
Sentronic or Tiptronic! lol shift gears if you want (not as fun as pure stick shifting though), but still able to drive auto when in huge traffic and you're feeling lazy.
Well that was exactly my point, I enjoy the "easy-ness" of it Why do the extra manual labor (hard) if it can be done automatically (easy) ? That's not to say I cannot drive manual. It's the only way to get a driver's license here. Anyway I assume hellohuiyang can drive both, otherwise he/she wouldn't be asking the question in the 1st place. Btw, I can shift gears with an electronic stick as well, but I never had to use that thing. But then again, I would qualify as being lazy ... and maybe old
Uhhh ... formula 1 cars aren't really manual as far as I know The gears are changed electronically like those tiptronic thingies.
100 % for sure Manual. More fun and control over your car. Manual keeps me awake during long drives. i had a few close calls with auto because i almost fell asleep. its so boring.
Turn on the music :wiggle: But seriously, on long drives I suppose you would be driving on the highway. In that case you won't be shifting gears that much and if you do, then it means slow traffic or a traffic jam ... in that case you would be busy pressing the brakes with an automatic as well which I hope would keep you awake ... unless you never use the brakes, but use the down shift as brakes
well manual cars tend to be cheaper in the uk, so drive a manual, besides it saves petrol as well and can go faster than an auto.
also have to remember you driving style. if your the kind that likes to do more than one thing in the car rather than driving itself, stick might not be your number once choice. but there is a lot more fun in stick than automatic =p
