Chen Shui-bian gives up politics to be a singer Former Taiwan president Chen Shui-bian may just become the next top selling singer. No joke about it. Taiwan Now News reports, a record company is interested in selling the "Taiwan Song" which Chen wrote while killing time in prison, and is considering releasing an album for him when he regains freedom. After releasing a book, Chen finds a new target in life - to write songs and practice singing diligently. A company finds a business opportunity in this and expressed wish to release a Hokkien album for Chen to include the "Taiwan Song"; the melody will be composed by Taiwanese singer Wang Ming Zhe. According to reports, they have already completed four songs. Chen had been in a studio previously with some political celebrities and has also sung cover version for a Hokkien classic song but the sales results was not ideal and lost over S$50,000 for the album. However in 2000, when Chen won the Taiwan elections, the album became a hot favorite among the public. A moment of tumult is expected if Chen is to lend his voice again for the new album in pipeline.

I was kinda shocked that Chen Shui-Bian was arrested after his presidency and not during his presidency. It took this long for things to unfold all the crimes he has committed .. hello .. are Taiwanese people that stupid? From the fake attempt assassination at the election to money laundering .. this guy broke every single rules and yet, he is merely being prosecuted. For a guy of his status; someone who knew but intentionally committed crimes, he should be EXECUTED.
