    Gets me wondering.

    If the person that he have beheaded isn't just your ordinary working folks but some big timer, what will the judgement be ?

    Of cos, big timers don't travel by bus. Just a simple hypothesis.

    Any takers ?

    the thing is that this guy is fukign 40+ with schizophrenia so why the fuk is he on the bus alone and why isn't he being treated instead of being a harm to society? why does something bad have to occur before the mental is treated.

    Just an FYI, I don't think the above info appeared anywhere in the linked article (as posted by the OP), but right after the incident, I do remember reading about the family's suspicion of mental illness at some point, in another source. And you're right regarding the social stigma with mental illness. In western culture, it is still socially considered to be something to be ashamed of, despite years of public education. In China and within the Chinese immigrant communities, that stigma is often amplified further by cultural values; that somehow, it is the patient's own fault for behaving that way. -what?
