Personally I feel that many features of an Iphone has been locked. 1) you cant blue tooth a file over from a device to iphone. 2) files is stored within an application. This means that if you create a file within an application this file cannot be access on another application. This also means that you cant synchronize files in an application to your desktop.
Is the latest iPhone camera quality on par with the rest of the competition e.g. Nokia's Carl Zeiss optics?
Definately Iphone is a nice phone but I think it is overpriced a lot. As previously highlighted by wind2000, there are alternative such as omnia, sony ericsson x1, htc HD which is with better spec and function.
Nah.. I have seen my colleagues using it. Not impressed at all. They tell me that they cannot even load a personal ringtone or shoot video. Cheh! I use a Dopod 810 and I think it is just fantastic!!
I've heard some bad stories regarding reliability (also for iPod) and that claiming warrenty and getting it fixed is a big hassle. Anyone actually have a personal experience with this and wouldn't mind sharing? Some of the problems I've heard include, it just stopped working altogether and won't turn on, frozen screens, software 'hanging' etc. I wouldn't mind waiting for the 32GB
well i have an ipod and it works fine for me. it only froze once but it rarely freezes and besides u just reset it and it works fine again. then again my ipod is a few years old so can't comment on the new ones but i think there wouldn't rele be any problems that u described unless people bricked their ipod touch or iphone trying to jailbreak it.
you could still consider it but do you need the phone tho? else get the touch instead, just without phone or gps.
Thanks folks, for the sugestion. I think I'm gonna get the samsung sgh-i900 with windows mobile operating.
as far as i'm aware the nokia 5800 will only be able to play rm files and not the newer rmvb format files. but i guess sooner or later when more developers come out they may develop a program for the nokia 5800 to play rmvb but for the time being i think it only plays rm files and as teh new tvb series are all in rmvb i don't think it will be able to play it.
Pro: - the insane amount of apps and many of them are actually useful - better for browsing than anything else ive seen - doubles as a htc remote (i know its technically an app but i love it so much im treating it differently) - alright hardware Cons: - sucks as a phone... the way things are put, just are inconvenient - battery life is rather crap - maps was all hyped up but its utter crap
you're better off waiting for another 3-4 months. there will be alot of different choices from HTC, Nokia Sony Ericsson, etc. I'm waiting for the Nokia N97. cool phone
If you can afford the service and plan cost, I believe you should. I have an Iphone but the payment I am making monthly is much higher compared to my T-mobile plan in prior year.
I was always against apple products... Something just stuck in me when I was a kid that apple is not worth it. that darn 2mp camera is what I'm most ticked off about too... You can't much of a "picture" with that. I would say stay off the iphone, the biggest Pro for it is the development of apps... you can have a large variety of stuff going on (altho even other OSes, you can still find a lot of neat stuff). Go on gsmarena.com and check out what phones suit your needs (or are to you taste). What I did was: 1) get the bestest valued phone (for example a free n95 8g, at least something worth selling) with some contract you are willing to commit to 2) then sell it asap to fund towards the phone you actually want. 3) buy the unlocked phone you want (given that it isn't provided in your country or something). Work out the math first. I recommend preping before any big actions. I have the n85 tee hee =D pure love.
